Latest season?

dosent it seem that this season could be the latest season of your life? still hardly snow anywhere everytime i look at a webcam i get depressed.

nah we've been pretty spoiled the past couple of seasons, especially two years ago where we were skiing well before December. All the ol timers seem to say that opening before turkey day was unheard of for the most part, let alone november at all, so whatever.

The really bad season was somewhat like this, but I think what sets this apart is, during that season, resorts in places like California were getting shit on while we were not. Like mentioned in other threads, even last season seemed "late" because we really didn't get sizable snow until this time in December. So if we have to wait a touch longer, so be it! But my work is starting to suffer so I need snow

It's like a stock bubble (I think that's what it's called), but on a smaller scale, and over a much shorter period of time.

When the market goes up everyone gets stoked and it reaches an artificially high level and everyone comes to expect it. Since everyone was used to epic, and it goes back to regular levels it seems like a massive bummer. It's really not, it's just back to average.

Same thing with this season. Last few seasons were really great, now it's normal again, and you just think it sucks cause you were used to slayin 19 foot deep pow. Now when it's just regular pow, you're gonna be dissapointed, compared to the last few years.

so does that mean i should put all my ski gear back in my closet, take down all my posters, and try not to think about snow for awhile?

Grant STFU. Don't act like you know what's going on. P.S. Hottubbing at my house this weekend ; )

that whole stock bubble thing makes sense.... but i had my dad ask around the local bellingham shops and areas, and NO ONE remembers the season NOT being open by the first or even second weekend of december in over 20 years... it is like we went from great snow, to the great depression of snowfall.

Yeah I would agree this is weird for baker, but its too early to call it a bad season either way. As far as stevens and snoqualmie go, besides the last two years I dont think that this is anything out of the ordinary. That is if memory serves correctly~

I've heard that winter is, on average, coming and going two weeks later than in the past. So instead of the end of November it really doesn't hit till mid December. The human brain just hasn't had a chance to catch up.

But read my quote vvvvvvv
