Last Great Problems Of Skiing?

Mountaineering has certain mountains that have thwarted attempts or seem unclimbable… the “Last Great Problems”. What are the ski versions of this?

Multiple backflips have always been like the trick to conquer in any action sport. Ig now it's the quintuple backflip but I'm not sure if that is like physically possible lmao

Apparently when THall was doing his quad in Grizzly, Maxime Chabloz was saying he could go for 5/6x on that jump.

First quads were done in the 1980's ?‍♂️

Oakleys haven’t fogged up on me once, goat goggles

Good to know. I have a pair of Dragons rn and I think it's a face fit/compatibility thing. My face is a tad small for them, so when I smile my cheeks lift them a bit.

Maybe in the future all goggles will have defroster tech or something, like Smith does with the fans.

How bout the fact that we won't be able to ski at all in like 20 years?

How about the fact that Alta has 160 inch base and got a foot overnight this week

How about Muricahh isn't the center of the universe? February was 3C warmer than normal in Finland for example. And the alps have resorts at 3000m which are closed due to the lack of snow. The alps & central europe in general are having one of the warmest winters in 100 years.

Access roads still aren't quite sorted at some mountains. I skied arizona snowbowl and it was an absolute shitshow on wednesday. Multi-car pileup including at least one of snowbowl's shuttle buses near the bottom of the road.

Yeah, I was lapping the park a few weeks back in a t-shirt in mid-February, in central Austria at least, we basically got about 4 days of snow in all of February. Shit ain't right.

how about the fact this happens at alta every year. You know what doesnt happen every year tho? The alps having no snow, east coast having dirt showing mid january, ny literally getting only 1" of snow.

How about the fact that 4 of the 5 driest winters in Alta's recorded history (past 80 years) have happened over the past 10 years. Average season used to be 500", but it's only been 380" over the past 10 years.

It's awesome that we're having a great season, but the overall trend is definitely downward, even Alta is sadly seeing less and less snow.
