Large Boot Advice

So basically I am a size 15 shoe, or 14.5 which is hard to find, and I am looking for a good pair of boots that will be good in both park and pow. I was looking at the Atomic Live Fit 80 boots, and I know they are not ideal, but does anyone else have advice.

have you been to a boot-fitter and been sized for ski boots yet, or are you just going off your street shoe size?

9/10, if you bought your street shoe size in ski boots you would buy the wrong size boot. do yourself a favor and go get sized and fitted. your ski boots are the most important part of your gear, make sure you do it right or you will be in a lot of discomfort.

also, once you find the right ski boot that works for your biomechanical needs, then it will ski both pow and park super well.

Yea I did get fitted and they said the same thing. I shouldn't have said street shoe size looking back because it makes me sound like idk what I'm talking about. Plus I have 32s that are just a little too small for me. I was more wondering about the boots.

Generally if you have a size 15 foot you are a big guy, which would make an 80 flex boot way too soft for you, unless you are a beginner.

The Live Fit series of boots uses a wide forefoot with a medium heel. There is big toe punch already built into the last, which is part of what makes the boot super anatomical. Also, there are medial and lateral zones that constantly adapt to the shape of your foot during skiing. As your foot pronates, weights, unweights, etc these zones are constantly adapting to your foot's changing shape which helps make the boot super comfortable. Eheath has a pair of the Live Fit 120s and really enjoys them. PM him to hear it from him.

With that said, the 80 might be too soft for a guy your size. I would look into the 120 model which will also come with a much more custom and supportive liner.

I'm about 6 foot 2 185 pounds. I ski mostly park but also some pow on out west trips. What kind of flex would you recommend?? Also thanks for the help.

99.99% correct in saying that an 80 flex boot is too soft for you. A guy your size should for sure look at boots 100 and up. Only once you are in the boot and a boot-fitter can observe you flexing the boot will you know for sure, but I've never seen a guy 180+ unable to flex a 100 flex boot.
