I'm in the market for new boots and I was looking for some opinions on the Lange comp 120 freerides. I can get them really cheap so I'm thinking about it. And yes, I do plan on trying them before I order them, but just wanted some reviews.. all day comfort? do they last? how are the buckles while skiing? Stiffiness? ect? Thanks alot guys

I have the CRL 80 FRs (a scaled down version of the comps), and I love them. They are super comfortable. No shin or heel bang. Get them.

if your going to be doing all mtn skiing, i would def recommend this boot. if you have the right style foot for a lange, it is one of the best fits out there. when you step into this baby, it practically sucks your foot into the boot, contouring to your ankle, heel, etc. perfectly. yes, the fit is amazing. one thing tho. if you were going to be doing lots of park, i mean anywhere over ~15%, id go with a lower model. this is a boot that has been designed to give you maximum control when it counts (steeps, tight shit, speed even), not nessecarily maximum comfort on landings. its still pretty flex when compared to other boots in the higher performance category, but its def not a park boot.

Thanks alot guys. I wont be spending tons of time in the park this year, probably like 20% because I'm on ski patrol this year.. Plus I like stiffer boots anyways, thats why i never bought 1080 boots. Thanks alot! Any more opinions are welcomed.

^in that case, look at the nordica speedmachines or the salomon gun pro model. both r stiff enuf for the toboggan and flex enuf for everything else. also, the reason i only recommend those is b/c they are the most comparable to the 120fr and also fit the same type of foot. i have speedmachines and am also on the patrol and i love them. any of these boots will do the job tho...

I thought the lange comp120fr were too soft. a flex of 120 for lange is like an 80-90 for anyone else at best. I'm not a big guy but I could bottom them out just by pushing down on them in the skishop (yes I know the plastic is warmer in a skishop and boots stiffen up 30%ish in the cold. But regardless, there are very few boots I could "bottom out" on in a store. If you ride park a lot and have a narrow foot you should give em a shot. Otherwise I would look for something stiffer and wider like a salomon pro or atomic m10-11

if your looking to mon spend alot of money look in to the head edge series its an all montain boot that has many adjustments and is super comfortable retailes for like 350cnd and i know thats the boot that sells best in the shop that i work in people seam to eat it up young and old alike

If your looking at the comp 120s I would also look at the dalbello krypton pros. I just got them and love them, and they are around the same pricel. The krypton pros are a great all around boot

I've always been a lange guy. these boots are sick, the shock absorbing technology in the bottom of the boot really reduces alot of friction, if you like lange and it fits your foot get the 120's if u have a wide foot go with some salomons.

You should choose a company on fit, not looks.

I just got the Head S12, awesome boot, ive just come from a Nordica Doberman which has a flex of 150 so i wanted something softer but not so soft that i would over bind it, this boot did the job, i would recomend the nordica speed machine as well, very very nice boot

I love mine and the new yellow one look great, i currently have the 80s customed to 110 but i would go for the 120. Get em

Yeah, Lange fits my feet pretty good. I've been in old banshee's for a good amount of time and I need to step it to a stiffer boot. I think I'm going to go ahead on the comp 120's because I can get them new from Lange for 199. If I could get other boots that cheap I'd do a bit more looking around.

Not a park boot? They always get top votes for park. Its a low cut boot and is very soft, of course it works well in the park.

i loved the langes i used to have, they tend to fit a little bit skinnier foot however, the comp 120s feel really comfortable and the flex is pretty much probably perfect for 80% allmtn 20% park

Lange Comp 100. Best boot I have ever owned. This is my 4th boot.

Narrow feet are a must with lange, if you have wide feet, go with salomon

I just bought this one, and if you look at the black panel on the back of the boot there are two screws, we removed the top screw to make the flex more of a 110 than a 120, and I'm loving them! They are tight enough in the leg shaft to have amazing stability and edge control, and the buckles are adjustable in m ore ways than one to get just the right fit. The Dynastar/Lange rep was who helped me make them fit just right, and I think they're rad. I do have really narrow feet and skinny ankles/calves so that's why they fit so well- if you have normal sized legs/feet you're best looking intoa different company.
