Landing 180s

wait why is there this huge thread about landing a simple trick like a 180 its pretty sad here when ur skiing just hop up and turn u dont even need a jump gosh

there easy, just practice skiing switch a lot and do them just skiing down the slope.without a jumop, then when you can do that just do them off jumps.can u do them off big jumps?all u said was small

1st u gotta be decent at skiing switch thne try a 180 just pop and turn thats all i cna really tell u

YOUR WAIT IS TOO FAR FORWARD WHEN YOU LAND!!! STAY CENTERED AQND COMMIT!!!

sorry about the caos but i want attention

rollabladin is like da same as skiin. it is good practice for when you aint got snow. rollabladin is closely related to skiin like skateboardin is to snowboardin.

if your landin on your face your prob leanin too much up hill when you land, spot your landings. and even though snowboarding is easy shit dont do it. inline is cool.

Why wasn't popping in the list of advice? If it fixes backseat 3's then wouldn't it fix somebody leaning too far forward switch? I am dead serius because i used to have this problem and naturally fixed it after learning rails.

i keep having trouble landing off of small jumps. it seems like everytime i try to land backwards i go into a snowplow and my face hits the snow. its pissing me off but i dont know what to do to fix it. i dont even try to snowplow backwards but it keeps happening. any advice?

Try doing them on flat ground I guess. That's how I'd get the kids I coached to do their first ones, let them get a little bit of speed and focus on keeping your skis straight while you're in the air. That way if you fall, it's not going to be down a hill or at a speed you'll regret. Then just keep doing them any chance you get, working up to jumps.

I don't know, that's a weird one to try and explain... The more you can work on keeping your skis pretty parallel from start to finish, the easier the landing will come, IMO.

Tighten your core, keep your body tight, and absorb than landing naturally.

Just imagine doing a smooth tranny find, only backwards.
