Its not like he would have been a shitty rider without blood doping. The tactics of blood doping is far away from using performance enhancing drugs. When you describe as simply adding a bit of extra blood to your system to be able to increase your oxygen intake it sounds rather harmless. As said above most of the top riders he was up against probably indulged in it at some point or other as well. Sucks that he loses all credibility. He still has my respect, he still battled cancer and was one of the top bikers.
 
my dads so funny. he wore his lance armstrong hat and livestrong bracelet out to brunch on sunday for his birthday. He just likes to mess with people. Our waitress acted all offended and made some comment so my dad goes "what? I support drug abuse." Then laughed at his own joke. God I love my dad.
 
This is true. I know professional road-bike racers and they can confirm that anybody who wants to be even close to the top has to do it illegally. I don't know who Lance pissed off so that they bring this down on him but nothing is straight in that sport.
 
Doping affects everyone differently and you don't know how they doped.

Any result is meaningless right now if you are trying to compare him to other bikers even if they doped.
 
Yeah. People who thought lance was straight before this is dumb. Ill add that it's guaranteed Michael Johnson and usain bolt juiced, they all do. It's a joke ppl think otherwise

Cycling went through a very dark period, but it's on the brightside now. There is no way in hell the Wiggins or Froome are dopers. No way at all. Wiggo gets really pissed at the doping cheats like Contador.

That being said, I still think Armstrong is a great bike rider and an outstanding spokesperson and hero for cancer survivors worldwide. What he has achieved outside of cycling is something not to be taken lightly. Half a billion dollars have been raised to support cancer research, that's not something that someone should be ashamed of.
 
Has there been solid proof he was doping? I'd like to think he confessed just get the media and everyone else off his ass considering he was being accused before there was ever proof.

I mean I'm sure he was doping, I'm just saying the only proof has been (as far as I know) what his teammates say.
 
Yes, but when anyone who wants to get to that level has to fuck their body in the long run it isn't such a great thing.
 
I say this all the time. I mean look how awesome football is, they all are on something. Who cares if it ruins their body. They get payed millions to entertain us, so why not make it as entertaining as possible.
 
It's not guaranteed to fuck your body up and pro athletes fuck their bodies up all of the time as part of the sport, comes with the territory.

and there's nothing that says they HAVE to use PEDs....i just think they shouldn't be banned.
