Lance Armstrong is still a hero

A shitload of people have come back from cancer. I'd guess the vast majority of those people weren't liars and bullies who tried to ruin people's careers just to protect their sham of an existence, and their dishonestly accrued fortunes.

I'd say any one of those people would be a better role model than Lance Armstrong.

interesting, i thought nike dropped him.

I never really criticized his decisions seeing as though every single biker in his era was doping, he's still the man in my mind

I don't give a fuck if someone is doping, good for them, they're willing to sacrifice their health towards the sport they love.

The guy came back from Cancer, then proceeded to lie, cheat and steel. Yes there were others doing it as well but that is no excuse at all. Not only did he lie, cheat and steel, he went out of his way to ruin peoples live that could have hurt his mighty image. No hero in my book. Does that diminish his cycling prowess? No, he is a once in a life time rider. He was riding against other dopers and killed all of them. So yes he is good on a bike. Dose that make him a hero. No. He's an ass-hat that can ride a bike.

Holy shit he came back from cancer and continued on with his life? Wow! That's the first time anybody's done that! He cheated and lied, and convinced other teammates to cheat and lie, and got them to cover his ass so nobody would find out he cheated and lied. Cry me a fucking river.

90% of bikers at that level cheat. Its how good at getting away with it that determines how long your run will be before you get caught. Look at the last 5 TDF, almost all are tainted.

“I think it is just terrible and disgusting how everyone has treated Lance Armstrong, especially after what he achieved winning seven Tour de France races while on drugs. When I was on drugs, I couldn't even find my bike.”

Willie Nelson

If you really want I can explain why you're wrong but I'm just going to simply state the fact that not everybody benefits equally from EPO under an arbitrary hematocrit max and thus that you are, in fact, rather incorrect in assuming that just because everybody was doping means it was an even playing field.

He's likely financially ruined. Lost all of his sponsors, now facing millions in payback to sponsors for contract breaches and other reasons. Sucks to suck.

90% is a bit harsh bud. And by last 5 TDF you mean Contador in 09 and 10. Evans, Wiggo and Froome are clean. (I'm a believer in froome, say what you will).

The two bad doping cases this year were di Luca and Satambrogio. But they're Italian so it's understandable.

True but think of all the big names in the last decade: Jan Ullrich, Ivan Basso, Floyd Landis, Iban Mayo, Alberto Contador to name a few. But yeah its leas than 90 but it is everywhere.
