so im thinkin about usin some laminate for the surface of my box, like the stuff on countertops, it seems like itl slike pretty good, what do yous think?

^ thats my box i used 1/4 inch acrylic and it works really well, and i highly recomend building a box like mine.

how much was the acrylic?

for a 48x24 sheet it was 50 dollars canadian and i got it at Rona

i heard acrylic shatters.

and no, im pretty sure you cant countersink a 1/32" HDPE sheet. I got the same stuff but i went with the 1/4". Even if you got the 1/32" stuff it'd be really fragile and would probly end up breaking

measure your screws to see how deep you need to countersink. I just got 3/32 hdpe...the screws i am using need to be countersinked 1/16.
