Check it out www.lala.com

Basically its like cloud storage for your music. You sign up, upload your library, which lets you listen to it from any computer with a web browser. Then you can pay 10 cents to be able to stream new songs from their library, or you can buy them for 99 cents and download a drm free track. It works really well.

If you find yourself regularly using different computers, this is a great way to have all of your music, everywhere you go.

If you sign up using that link I'll get some free songs. Check it out if you think it sounds cool.

wait so you put your music up and anyone can get those songs and you can get anyone elses songs but it also lets you listen to your original songs plus the songs you aquired from any computer with access to the interwebz?

the difference is that it doesn't actually upload copies of your music, it plays their own copies from the lala music library. Plus you can buy legitimate music with lala. I haven't used mp3tunes so I can't really say which is better.

ah i misread

if you want to back up your music go with mp3tunes though

so this is a Pandora-ish platform just with the added buy feature?

sorta. Pandora is still probably better for music discovery, although the lala store lets you preview the whole song 1 time instead of just 30 seconds so I can see it being good for that too.
