sorry i didn't explain my self right... i'm flying to reno and then i'll take a bus to south lake tahoe cause i look it up on the internet and thats the only way i found to get from reno to tahoe...but i have to get to a friends house in northstar and i really don't know anything about lake tahoe so i'm trying to find a way to get to northstar...

there are actually four main ways too get to tahoe from reno, the fastest way to get to northstar would be 80 to 267, which would take less than an hour, reno to southshore to northstar would be a really round about way to get here
hes not renting a car dude. so like he only has the bus option and i guess he was looking at the bus to south shore. But some other kid mentioned that theres a bus to north lake thats what u want.
thanks to everybody for their help... some other questions: how can i get to other ski resorts like alpine, boreal or squaq for cheap?? is it possible to hitchhike to them from northstar?? also how much are the lift tickets?? and is there a way to get some kind of a deal to get them cheaper?? thanks againand any other info would be great
hitchhiking is actually very promising in the North tahoe area. Especially if you're trying to get to the resorts. If you ever see a white van or a yellow truck with PORTERS stickers all over them, jump out and really get their attention. They will more than likely help you out with a ride, at least to the bottom of the resort or so. Carry some cardboard and a sharpie. Signs of your destination usually help or having a hot south american chick next to you always helps too. It worked for me several times when I lived there.
