whats the word on snow in the area? I'm coming up for a couple of days with my bro over xmas break, and im really hoping there is gonna be snow....whats the word?

the word is there is absolutely nothing and it is supposed to be 75 degrees this weekend! there better be snow by christmas or i will have shot myself by then.

seriously! it better start snowing soon. right now it's not looking so great but who know's it's only november. and even mammoth is open with a foot of snow. their off season was like 3 months. july 4th till november 9th. that's just insane.

there will be snow by christmas, in 18 years I've never seen no snow by late december. In fact I can hardly remember a time when most resort weren't 100% by then. Not to worry.

but what if we dont get snow by christmas. im going to start going to confession and maybe god will not punish me like this anymore

^I think its just teasing us, and then we will get slamed and every one else in the country will be jelous. until then I will keep crying my self to sleep.

Squaw pic from this weekend.....

Ive got a man in my living room who just drove in from squaw this morning and he said it's fucked, but by christmas? I wouldn't worry too much man thats in a few months

it doesnt look like kwood will open. no snow around the lifts and the bottom hill near chair 5 and 6 which means no snow anywhere else around the bottom. so unless they bring in the worlds snowgun supply and temps drop drastically i dont think its gonna happen. this is really starting to piss me off too because i thought it was just a little late start but its driving me insane. how in the hell is everywhere but here gettin puked on?

theyve actually started blowin snow. im watchin it as we speak but i dont think temps will allow it to stay. and only a lil is blowin so...

that'd be so sick!!!^^^ but u all can't act like we haven't gotten a drop or that things are late. we acutally recieved like 3 feet of snow thus far this season, most has melted but there is about 14 inches at the kirk wood red lake area. i was up there doingt rails. and also the season typically starts for all of tahoe arond the end of noverember to the beginning of december. so just chill for a while. this season is gonna rule either way cuz we live in an area where most the mountains have awesome pakrs and recieve over 350 inches a year and u can ski till the end of may

heavenly was open until may... a full month after sierra and the smaller resorts i think.

but it was a slurpy.

not really anything skiiable after high noon.

I rode squaw allll day on like may 20sumthinth last year and their was sooo much snow. they only shut down because of lack of interest ($$$). the snow was spring conditions but fine (Wilson, Parker, Candide, among others were out there too.

goddam this makes me happy

if i had to listin to one more tahoe kid tell me about how awsome tahoe is i was gonna kill a nigga... but as i said many times.. you guys had it comming and have fun with your rock skis this winter and enyjoy junuary

Kirkwood always has the most snow.

After a season like last years, i wouldnt be surprised if Tahoe gets a meager amount of snow this year.

wow, last year was sick. 10 feet in 4 days at kirkwood in April?

Its getting cold now at least so maybe we can hope for resorts to open in like a week. High pressure systems are holding out for like another week so we'll see after that. keep our fingers crossed.
