I wanted to go to the lake placid ramp camp and u need a USSA membership...the form confuses the hell out of me it has all these prices under a "COMPITITION FORM" and none on the first form. so if anyone has been or has a USSA membership if you could help out and tell what it cost and explian the form it would be aprreciated.

i could help you out bro.

two questions, how old are you and have ever had a ussa membership before? if youre young enough and youve never been a member then you can get a rookie. otherwise i think you have to get a competitor membership.

the only people i know that go to ramp camp at LP are mogul (freestyle) competitors. probably should stay out of it

ill admit i ski moguls and have mogul skis but im not one of those kids that like wear mogul pants and really tight gear and ski moguls over park but i find them quite enjoyable

yeah dude sign up for the rookie membership. its the cheapest one. you should be able to get it. just wondering, who you going to ramp with?

what? what does that even mean? why am i a fool?

what im saying is that the only people i know that go are competitors

and there is nothing wrong with mogul skiers. guarantee they are twice the skier most people on this site are. and they are just as steezey

I went last year for a week, and even though most of the people are there form moguls and aerials, the smallest jump is freeride modeled. It was such a dope time, if you have the chance, do it.

i have a sick video that my friend took when she was there, its of her friend doing some like triple backflip 360 off the biggest aerial jump. but its like 4 people going at once. its really dirty. but its on facebook so i can't get it

yo deffinately go to ramp camp there! i go every summer and there jump has a hydraulic on the top of it that makes the lip into an aerial kicker or freeride jump, sooo sick. i cant help you out with the form but deffinately go mad fun timess!

there are plenty of freeride kids that go. dont worry about that. and believe me, its a ton of fun and youll get way better.

i went there when i was 13, and i got the rookie membership. i think it was only $50.

it was a lot of fun, but for some reason i like completely forgot how to ski over that summer, so it wasnt as fun as it should have been. i kinda wish i could go back now that im better to learn some new stuff, but i cant afford it.

and to the kid who said its mostly mogul skiers- thats true but it doesnt really matter. plenty of freeride kids go too

as for the jump having the hydraulic top, there are 3 settings, top down, freeride, and aerials. top down is the smallest it goes, but you can still get pretty big off it. freeride the top is up, but it doesnt get any steeper than top down - the takeoff is just longer. and aerials they make it a little steeper, so you boost even higher, but its got more of a feel for aerials jumps.

yeah. when i went i met a kid who was in my group in jib academy and mike clarke was there. ill probably be going for the month of july

Lake Placid Ramps are super fun, this will be my first summer in a while not going. You're going to have a great time and learn a bunch of new tricks.

i think i might be going to this over the summer

not sure yet though, but i might combine it with a trip im taking to a cable park for wakeboardz

im a snowboarder though.... i dunno if there's a segregated ramp session for us or not

all depends on who you go with. snowboarders are always really sketchy on the ramps. i dunno why but it always looks like theyre gonna fall on the inrun.

sorry kids*

I only ski park and not on a freestyle team, but I go ramps with a mogul team and I still learn lots from them. A cork 10, rodeo or misty is the same in the park or into bumps.
