So my good friend's b/f just got hired as park director for the upcoming season. They have given him a large sum of money to redesign and better the Lake's park! Believe me this, it will be good. He is a snowboarder up to date with what's going on so it should be dope! Stay tuned......

where else do you go. fortress and nakiska are good. but sunshine licks choda. the hills to small, the only thing good about it is the good jump spots and delirium which is pretty played out.

Sweet! that park was already decent, maybe they could hold a slopestyle?!

Does anyone know if Fernie is holding a slope-style again this year for skiers and maybe any other places?

 
sunshine does pretty much suck other than the backcountry and the fact that you can always find powder (even in bounds). But this year it sounds like they are steppin it up with there park abit. battleship, double kink and something top secret that you cant know. plus more boxes and the same old rails

I thought nakiska's park was amazing last year. They maintained it really well too, and almost every 2 days there would be a modification or a new obstacle or something

 
marmots park licked!! I think there was 3 tables, and a hip. didn't spend much time there. yeah Nakiskas park was pretty sweet.

are you joking me, the rails were shit at Louise. last year there were like two or three, can't remember. One little shit one like 5 feet long, and one kinked that was pretty nice. The jumps were the only ok thing in the park, but i do agree even those need work, they were sooo small. there was one hit that you could make more than 35 feet. the wya it was set up was nice, I like just riding it down, everything flowed, it was a good place to buff up your style, there wasn't anything antimidating

yes and yes. I heard Norquay has a gnarly rainbow and a better pipe than Nakiska. Nakiska's pipe was terrible! Might have well put on skates in that thing. But their jumps were amazing. Well two of them anyways. That big 45-50 foot step under the chair was sick and so smooth! I loved it.

My cousin Lives in marmomt and he told me that there park is gonna be alot better this year because tehre main digger was a little homo that though making the jumps big would get the mt suided, but they got rails late last sesion and the jumps should be better this year+ the backcountry is always sick there...

LL's park was sweet last year and soo was there pipe, they had some of the best rails in alberta and the jumps were sick to, sunshine sucked ass there big table was the only good thing about the park, but the backcountry there is unbelivable...

Lake Louise did not have a good park. For a resort of that calibre their park was junk. They have a superpipe grinder but hardly use it. There tables were extremely small. At the end of the year for their locals comp it actually got set up decently but that was for like the last two weeks of the year. They even had an S rail.

This year im hearing that they actually are stepping it up. S rail that they had last year and some others. But Ive heard this all before and never seen it happen. Look to Cop for a pipe thats well maintained. Too bad im moving to Whistler, now that they finally got something going.

 
from what i heard they built a new park on upper marmot mountain on marmot run, it should be bigger and better than last year with more rails. My backyard last year sounded better than marmot though

i thought lake's park was okay when i went,i liked it. ya the kinked rail was pretty nice, and the super pipe was nice too. sunshine is awsm, cause there's always powder, like someone said, everywhere basically...and norquay had some intense rails, although the pipe was way too icy. but yep...

i think people should post pics of the local parks if they have any upload them to biglines.com or here. where does everyone ski usually , i am getting a pass at sunshine and hopefully cop.

Jasper's biggest jump last year was about 15 feet long! Disgraceful!

I know. Jaspers park was horrible. I think I had maybe 5-6 runs through it in the 5 days I was there.

Jasper doesn't have an assigned park manager, that's why it licks, they just get any normal retard to go pile snow and then they're set to go. Another thing...rumor has it that in january fortress mountain is going to hire a team to design a pretty sick park - so we'll see how that goes.
