so im super pumped right now cuz i just found out my girlfriend wants to get skis for christmas. and not just skis- twin tips! i am so lucky!
anyway, she is obviously a beginner in the park, so im not looking to get a super expensive ski at the moment. however, shes not a newcomer to skiing- she has skied basically her whole life- so i dont want to get a piece of shit either. i already found a nice deal on the 07 roxy wista pro with bindings for 300. first, is this a decent ski? and second, anything else you can suggest would be greatly appreciated, especially with boots. thanks!

huh, thats the same site i found the wistas on, how didnt i see that one?? but nice find man, youve got some karma coming your way

i found those through the ski/boot selector...for some reason the wista pros were under the same search result as those...i work at that shop so ill let the internet guys know about that lil mixup.

There are lots of sports stores that will sell you skis closer to christmas time for a very low price. A few years ago i found Seth Vicious for 100, and the guy threw in bindings for 75. Which was really sick. Try web sites like Gart Sports and Sports Authority because they will give you a very general and basic ski which she will probably be fine with. Here is some girl skis for 200s-300shttp://www.sportsauthority.com/prod...72.3084900.2629151&view=all&parentPage=family But dont get stuck up on girl skis i personally hate girls equipment because most of the products are made with cheaper materials than mens skis and dont hold up that long. But if you go to some shops and talk to the owner or employee sometimes if you get all of the stuff together they will give you a huge price cut. Hope she likes skiing cause there needs to be lots more girls!

i wouldn't either...

misdemeanors forsure.

how advanced of a skiier is she? does she race? there are specific skis that are made for switching from racing to park.. they have a lot more edge than other types of twins...

tell her to look into some line shadows... i love my pair (05/06 model), but i hear recent year's are still awesome. they are great for smaller/lighter skiers, sooo easy to toss around!

dont go for roxy skis... and i've heard, from girls that ski, armada arw are good skis.. i have two friends that have them and they both love them! for boots, you should look into salomon...

ok, thanks for the input everyone. ill check out those sites you suggested, abayk. and thanks for the warnings about roxys, ill steer clear of them.
as for the arw's, there a bit to expensive for me, and probably a bit too advanced for her.
and to answer your question, afton_steeze, no shes not a racer. just your everyday skier, but without the major suckage. ill check out those missdemeanors for sure
+++karma for everyone

i just found 2 more that i want an opinion on:
1. dynastar she's trouble2. K2 missconduct
im pretty sure both are last years models

my wife skis on the k2 misconduct from last year and loves them. they are super light and very easy to ski. i've seen them around on the internet for cheap too. i recommend them.
