You are wrong. Flat out. I ran track for my high school for 7 seasons (indoor and out) and my parents could care less. I loved track, and i still do and i will be continuing in college. I am an EXTREMELY competitive person, so what could be better than a sport where the only person to blaem when you lose is yourself? Yes, you have to be self motivated a lot, but if you like competition, track is better. Also, there is more to do in track than just run in circles. Run anything longer than 200, and track takes more heart than any sport, except maybe swimming, but thats in the same boat. Also, you never know, you might be really talented. Frosh year i got cut from teh tennis team and went out for track without ever doing it before, and senior year i was 3rd in NJ for triple jump and got recruited for it. So, give track a shot(put) HAAAAAAAAAAA FUNNNYYYYY
