Lack of cool poles/boots design

There r like.. how many? 50 freestyle skis next year on the market with "freestyle" graphics some of them great some of them crappy, but I feel the companies just work on the ski design, little companies do freestyle specific boots or poles with graphics acording to the sport.

I think they r part of the equipment so they should start growing in that area.... All snowboard companies have lots of freestyle boots for example.

I do wheelchair freestyle you should see me

i don't know man, i think the boot designs are aight... what more can you? you can't exatcly make them as loose as snowboard boots, and what's wrong with the graphics on skis? they don't have to relate to the sport that be dumb. what do you want a picture of a mountain on your skis>?

i totally agree. freeskiing is lacking in boot technology for sure...we need a snowboard boot company or an inline company to make newschool specific boots for us.

I deff. fell you, I try to deck out my stuff, ducktape, Perminate Markers, etc. But it would be cool if they made some nice graphics...

Tecnica's making a freestyle boot, Rossignol XX, Salomon 1080, Lange FR 100, 120, Head freerides. There's a couple others.

--------------------------------------
'Duran Duran bought Armada, Armada bought Microsoft, Microsoft bought MSP and AOL, AOL owns Time4 which owns the MountainSportsMedia which owns SKi, Skiing and RIP Freeze... so Armada now owns McDonalds and Coke.

i think they need to be like snowboard boots, no need for them to look good, but they must be comfortable, and be able to take heavy landings. If you don't like the way your boot looks, just spray paint, or sticker it up.

Matman10: Man lat you had that 7 down but you binder poped off

Laterails:Yeah i think they aren't adjusted, or it could be the fact that all that is holding them together is one of my pubes

Rossi are making a Scratch boot next winter.

yeah and they should make poles that don't break too.

Its only for decoration thats it and thats all

get foam put in you boots, and really good custom insoles, thatll help with shin bang.

also tighten your boots up and dont land backseat

great ideas, but how sick would a freestyle boot that came with all those things be? Gel tounges, booster type power straps, heel cushions, ect...

the new white head boots look good

there already is 2 freestyle boots, the 1080 and new rossi soft, who cares if it's "newschool" specific, all it would be would be more expensive because you'd be paying for a name, think of volcom or anything skate how much it is, same thing, it would just be more money for no reason

GO FLAMES!!

boots, yes can b worked on, but for the most part as long as u get a decent boot ur fine. n poles r poles r poles

East Coast.

clothing and ski equiptment are way different buddy.. its not like salomon has only one kind of boot with like 10 different names

graphics, need improved (on boots and poles) but mainly, the technology needs to be modified for freeride. as far as im concerned, the line transfer boot was the closest thing yet.

heres what we need, and ive been saying this for years:

freestyle boots NEED to be 3 peice shells. Why? because they offer a TON of soft, progressive forward flex, while remaining very rigid side to side.

adjustable flex, freestlye boots would need to be adjustable for stiffness, and easily. also, the natural stance (forward lean) should be higher, as well as the option to run an unlocked rear lean, for butters and manuals (it doesnt kill your shins like locked boots).

also, the gel heelpads and shin pads would be nice, and possibly the air fit system in the DC boots. that, would be a sick boot.

i looked on google but all i could find was 3D Animation porn-sxmarty6

poles..............are poles. they aren't the big a deal. people whouldn't be going "whoa look at that dude's poles. that is so sick!!!" nobody would do that anyways. but yeah boots and shin bang and problems needs to get worked on. my salomons hurt me

damn i really don't see the problem here. i'm ridin on 4 year old boots and skiin with stolen rental poles. new boots are def gonna be my next investment but as for graphics and comfort they have come a long way. i mean the graphics are fine, your pants should mostly cover em up anyways. i guess i can't relate to the shin bang cause i haven't had problems with it.

and people who say that poles need to be cooler are probably posers anyway. if you worried about your skiin more you would realize you are probably just gonna break your poles and they are not worth any investment. i've tried payin a ton for those composite metal poles that you can practically bend in half and they will still snap back to normal, but in the end i still ended up breakin em.

For people that actually care, Scott makes some cool looking poles as do a few other companies.

To all the people complaining about shin bang its probably youre own damn fault. Make sure youre boots are tight enough and you probably won't have that problem.

you cant make a boot that will magically fit every person's foot and eliminate shin bang and other problems. go to a shop where they know what they are doing, spend some time trying on different boots and find a pair that fit your feet. then get custom insoles. if your boots dont fit you properly, you are going to have problems

bad karma to ski on STOLEN goods....LAME!!!!!!!! regardless of where they come from LAME!!

just another dirtbag punk...

look at me im rad cause i stole some poles...awsome bro good work! way to stick it to the man...

two words....BAD ASS!!!!

the PE poles are sick

pretend you will give the guy head to give back your skis, he probably will accept, then once he whipps his cock out, steal it-SteezePatro

if you want to be a real gangster wear your ski boots to the dance. when he starts shit when youre

whoa whoa man, by stolen I meant that the dudes at the rental shop said they wouldn't mind if i didn't return em'. its really the only way to go with poles

after payin hundreds of dollars for a pass to my mountain, a couple pairs of rental poles courtesy of friends in the rental shop is very reasonable

the rossignol soft boots are so sick, but next year there is gonna be a park specific boot called the scratch but its all black. If its that big of a deal then do it yourself. my favorite thing to use would have to be duct tape.

i dont think any boot out there looks really special although some look damn good. The salo 1080 from last year was sick...this years graphic blows thougy...still a sick boot

"Holy shit, did you see that tweaked out pencil! That was insane, that guy really knows how to rip."

i think if a company put out a boot with some of the criteria east_coast metioned above, they could make a killing

Same thing... I can't step into the park anymore without "Nice poles" or "Where'd you get those". Plus, I'm so much better at skiing because of them, that obviously I get compliments on that too.

yeah poles dont really matter, but 1080 is there and pretty much everyone has that one anyways, or rossi has one 2 i think

a nonrearward locking flex in a boot would suck to ski with. people would ski like crap because there is no support from the boot to keep you from skiing backseat. and a 3 peice shell is not necesary either. i have lange comp 120 fr's and did not have a problem with shinbang all season. make sure your boots fit correctly, obviously dont land backseat, and buckle them up tight so there is no room for your shins to hit up against the tongue, you want the tongue in constant contact with your shin. heel shock absorbers like the ones in the 1080 boot would be key, the lange ones are worthless.
