with some k2 extremes and griffons.

The flat rail wasn't supposed to be open. Did you notice the copious amounts of frozen mud on it? We were waiting for the cat to push snow for the jumps since digging them would have taken hours.

well there were lots of boarders hitting in no problem, and yes i did notice the mud, but i wasnt positive if it was supposed to be open or not

Been super busy all weekend, sorry I couldn't throw an update up sooner. Just got our 5 new boxes delivered this morning and they are beautiful. The current set up is a 16' flat bar, 28' flat-down rail, 16' flat box, culvert jib, and one of the new boxes is set up as a nice mellow down. We'll likely have to tear down the setup and rebuild so the mountain crew can proceed with snowmaking, but we'll see. Closed Monday and Tuesday, open Wednesday 3PM-9PM, then regular hours for the rest of the season! Stoked.

We'll definitely have something up, could be all of those, could be some of those, could be something completely different. Only time will tell my man.

I spoke with the mountain manager yesterday and these were his words: "We could open it up right now, there's enough snow for the base and a bunch of smaller features, but I want to hammer it and give you guys like a 10 foot base to work with!" So our plan is to blow snow in there through the weekend and into early next week. We may start building late next week and I would plan on it being open soon after Christmas and definitely before New Years. Stoked on the amount of snow the mountain guys are going to provide for us!
Current setup in the rail garden: 24' down box, 24' flat box, 2 12' flat boxes, 16' flat rail. Come shred!

The rail garden just shrunk a little in order to get a couple features up the hill to be set up today. We currently have a 24' flat box, 24' a-frame box, and a 161 flat rail. Park build begins today!

im not sure about tog, but labs park is pretty nice. the features are a bit short, but fine. cant wait for the rest of the year

Rail Garden: 24' flat box, 16' flat bar, 24' a-frame box In-Saanen Park: 15' step down, 24' down box, 28' flat-down rail, 24' flat-down box
We opened the In-Saanen Park with only a few features in order to allow for more snowmaking early this coming week. Holiday Rail Jam is this Tuesday and will be on a 3 feature deck at the bottom of the In-Saanen Park, check out the website for more info.

i take it park crew at togg is waiting for this warm weather to be over to start gettin snowmaking and make some good tables. no offense to you guys and i know it's early season, but the landing to the 1 jump at togg is pretty bad lol.

haha that jump wasnt supposed to be up for more than a couple days. Unfortunately no snowmaking took place so the jump has stayed for longer than expected. Just need some more snow and we'll be in business...

i was wondering this the other day on the chairlift. what ever happened to the "wood park" we were going to have? are you guys still doing something with that? it sounded sick, but i haven't seen any signs of new trails or features.

Im not sure whats up with Lab now, they took down all their features and just put up 2 down rails and these 2 stupid bonk things... anyone know when some more rails are going to be up?

It is. It's just difficult to work in the snow.

Togg has a 48ft mellow battleship box at the bottom of park in addition to an urban down box, flat down rail, flat down box, flat rail with nice landing. Hopefully working on getting more in tomorrow.

what's togg's setup? i haven't been since thursday, and i know you guys are still working on it like crazy

Current setup at Togg:
15' step down, 25' step over, culvert stall, down box, up box, f-d rail, flat rail, f-d box, 2 small flat boxes.
Waiting for the final round of snowmaking which will bring the opening of the Goat Pen Progression Park with various jibs and small jumps, as well as a whole bunch more jibs and 3 more jumps in the In-Saanen Park. Can't wait to get everything else finished, get stoked for a sickkk setup!

Well I called lab today and complained and the said they plan on setting up more features like the long flat bar and the other kinked rail this week. Parks not looking bad now, but with the addition of those 2 rails it will be sick. That will make the current setup 2 down bars, 3 kink, flat down rail, 2 flat bars and 2 jumps with some other dumb bonks

Was up there today for about 2 hours. Park is looking nice. First jump took me by surprise, was just going to roll over the landing to scope out the jump. Landing turned out to be a lot steeper than I anticipated. Rolled through at a good clip and dropped about 5 feet before my skis touched the snow again. Looks like a good jump though. Not a lot of distance but a lot of airtime. Poppy kicker to a super steep landing. You basically fall out of the sky. Second jump looks legit. Its a decent stepover/stepup so you really need to carry your speed into it to avoid coming up short. Jibs looked fun. I really liked the look of the culvert tap/stall, lots of possibilities. Boxes and rails looked fun. Didn't stay long. Didn't hit much. I'm still pretty new to park skiing, so I'm looking forward to smaller features. Want to dial in my 1s and give 3s and 5s a try.

We actually have a decent setup now.

2 down bars

flat down box

triple kink

flat down rail

2 flat rails

2 jumps

And according to other people I know, their adding more things this week

went tonight and was definitely disappointed they need to step up their game big time, i had fun dont get me wrong, but im gonna turn to togg soon if lab doesnt set up some bigger shit

can't help with the ride but if you're gonna be watching slopestyle, i should be up there for some time.

Feb. 26th I believe, The Ski Company is throwing in for it, and if they get anywhere near the quality of prizes they did for our slopestyle this past weekend, there will be some banger prizes up for grabs. We'll have a rowdy crew coming over for sure.

when is togg going to get the mini park open? i want some mini boxes to shred with all that space in between the chairlift and the park lol.

From the park website:

"I’ve been getting a ton of questions about the Goat Pen lately, the In-Saanen Park as well for that matter. First off, I apologize for the lack of a Goat Pen to this point. It was decided that it’s location last year was too narrow, so this year it was going to be moved just below last year’s setup in the meadow above trail 9. Unfortunately, snowmaking in the meadow did not pan out and it was just decided this past week that the guns would not be fired up again this season. This is why the Goat Pen has not been set up, with only a thin base of natural snow, there is no way to set up a park there. With that said, we will be moving the Goat Pen features into the In-Saanen Park this week. Look for them down skier’s right of the top section of the park. The other issue I’d like to address deals with the overall state of the In-Saanen Park. Up until this past week, we thought more snowmaking would be happening in the In-Saanen Park as well. Like the Goat Pen, we didn’t have a chance to hit the In-Saanen Park again. This is why gaps have been left without features, as they would have been buried had snowmaking occurred. We will be moving to our plan B park layout and we’ll have it jam packed full of features this week. Again, I apologize for the late Goat Pen opening and slow In-Saanen start, but at this point we have the green light to finish everything up without having to worry about the possibility of more snowmaking. Hopefully this has answered some questions that people have had so far this season, feel free to post any others you may have and I’ll be sure to shoot you a reply. I’m really excited to finally finish things up, I think you’ll all be stoked on the outcome. Peace…

Toggenburg Parks"

sweet! thanks for that... although it's still confusing about the location lol. same trail as last year, just all the features pushed to the right? help nick!

Nah, he felt that trail was a bit narrow. I think the plan is to put them down the right of In-Saanen kind of where the van is. Hopefully soon considering the double header jump session and box jam are this weekend.

We've also been getting pounded with snow (with more to come) so pending the weather, we'll be jibbing till late spring.
