Lab/Tog

Just as a rule of thumb, look for night time lows consistently hitting down around 22 degrees before anyone is firing up their guns (with the exception of Greek, they have a system suitable for warmer temps). When you see lows getting down to 27 or 26, sure that's cold enough to make snow, but it only gets that cold for maybe an hour overnight before temps start to rise again so it isn't worth firing up for. Hopefully we'll be seeing some consistent lows after turkey day!
 
Well it looks prime for the rest of the forecast after thanksgiving for snow making. Hopefully everyone will catch on. Good thing I'm going to killington over thanksgiving break.
 
I need to make a trip to lab this winter. I miss that place. I wrecked myself all the time in the park there when I was younger.

Good place for night skiing. It's been years since I've been there. Like 5+

Need to make this happen. Who else rides out that way?
 
Yea there's a ton of nsers around. Stop by togg while you're out here though. We have some awesome things planned for the season. Including 5 brand new boxes and bringing back some oldies.
 
Temps have dropped and snow's falling, definitely a good sign. Unfortunately all that rain that we got in a steady down-pour for almost 24 hours has to run off the hills now before any snowmaking can start. Setbacks suck, but the guns should still be firing up this weekend!
 
If you guys start making snow this weekend, do you think opening day might be the next weekend? Like the 10th or something?
 
labs been making snow the past 2 nights, but if they don't have rails set up opening day, then Ill probably go to Tog
 
We'll probably set something up at togg today. 8-14 inches predicted today through tomorrow morning. Looks like even more through wednesday too.
 
And we got about 10-12 inches last night to bring it to about 16 inches total with another 10-20 today and tomorrow.
 
Yessir. Tentative hours are Noon-9PM. We'll have a rail garden at the bottom and plenty of pow to shred! (Discaimer: I am not telling you to duck ropes, but I just hiked up and took a run on my pow boards and it was incredible! Going to be even more epic by Friday! But yeah, don't duck ropes, right...)
 
Sorry to let everyone down but there's 2 more storms from now to Sunday. That's on top of the 6-10 tonight and whatever the rest of the week. Oh and that storm Sunday, multiple feet possible. Oh then more lake effect until Wednesday and another storm that weekend with more lake effect after that.
 
Hiked togg today. More than knee deep of just straight fluffy snow. So much I had trouble getting speed but completely worth it.
 
is lab gonna have rails set up? they usually dont but it will decide where i ski on saturday
 
Come to Togg! We'll have a few features set up at the bottom of North Main. We're also going to start blowing snow in the park tonight, and it will be a main area of focus when temps drop through the floor early next week.
Pat, it looks like the meeting will be next Thursday. I'm sure she'll be in touch with everyone to let them know for sure though.
 
ill be there. there was one flat rail, 16 ft, but the jump needed work and the rail was really sticky, although hopefully it'll be good to go by tomorrow. then there was a flat down rail, id say 5-6 foot flat to 20 ish foot down? also there was a flat box not set up but just laying around, and same with a culvert pipe. some good powder too.
 
sick, i def wanna go. im comin from Oswego so it'll take me an hour or so, I hope to be there by 10ish. Do you know for certain if they'll be open at night too tomorrow, the website says they close at 4:30 but it could be old or something. I don't know what I'm wearing yet but I'll have some beat up black and green troublemakers with lime green salomon boots. keep an eye out for me
 
well my friend is working there tomorrow. he said he is starting work at 5... so i'm nearly positive that she'll be open till 9.
 
okay that's pretty legit then, i dont have to rush in the morning and can stay late. I'll probably have a brown/striped rasta color jacket bc it's already got rail burns on it and I wanna hit some rails before I have to cut my season short
