What is this place like? I have been to Verbier and Engelberg. Good place to do a season?

I am seeing some pretty reasonable rentals and can work remotely. Switzerland is my favorite country so not open to others. Andermatt just went Vail I regret not taking the train there for a day last year.

Thanks.

My grandpa lived in flims in the 50s said it was one of the most beautiful places he had ever been he also said the skiing was good but there was only one or two lifts and a train. He said you had to hike for most skiing that wasn’t XC skiing. That’s coming from a dude who skied bird in the 70s and Whistler in the 60s

Park is 10/10, everything you need from XL to even a killer baby park. The medium stuff has a T bar for hot lapping they were a good size for single flips. The big park runs the full length of the chair pretty much which is mint just so many features in a row its awesome, jumps are proper slope size saw a lot of dubs doing down. I was there over new years and didn't notice any ridiculous queues so I'm sure its decent most of the time. Mostly an alpine mountain from what i could tell, and looked like there should be some alright off piste too but will be subject to wind blown etc.

All the stomp it videos are filmed there, most are in the small or medium park.

There is tonnes of content they put out there from a snowboard sense. LAAX open, CRAP Attack/show. So you can probably watch some of the stuff and get a good idea what you are in for. If i was to live there i would stay on the Flims side. Place seems pretty chill.
