I was just reading previous threads about kye and all the hate he recieved! well i reckon hes sick and has improved heeps, so do you haters who said he was shit still wana hate?
 
i dont think he's shit, lots of talent all around, though he has shitty style, like on the hip in believe, perfectly good flair till all the sudden he decides to go starfish and spread out, he has a habit of going scarecrow at the end of his tricks and it's not visually appealing.
 
I didn't like Kye as a freestyler. But in lost and found, he got me pumped for his future. He hucked some big cliffs, and skied some pretty sick spine lines. As he gets older, he'll probably get stronger technically and physically, so his career as a freerider is looking up.
 
yeah all this talk of his style being crap? i reckon hes throwing down hard, and his seg in lost & found backs that up. who cares about flailing arms, its not a big thing to work on, then all the hate on its over!? his steez is just diferent
 
Dude. They were talkikng about when he was a freestyle kid. What he's been doing in Believe and Lost & Found is completely different.

Kye is a sick rider... and hell of a guy. Such a righteous time hangin' wit him, so don't rag on the kid. He can shred much better than half of the guys here on NS. Like some of you said in Lost and Found; he stepped it up a notch and that is def nice to see. Keep it up son. Keep slayin' big lines.
 
^ i would say a lot more than 50 percent. his lost and found segment blew me away. its stupid that he would get hated on, you dont need to have your hands by your sides all the time to be a good skier
 
He had a few really good hits in Idea, but I didn't really like his hits in Believe. He's a decent skier, but not amazing.
 
no. just because kye isn't in x games slope doesn't mean he sucks. did you ever think maybe he doesnt ride much park? every time i see him he's shredding the mountain pretty fucking hard. he has my respect, and probably the respect of anyone who isn't an idiot like you
 
hes a sick skier for sure. my beef with kye is personal though, i had a run in with him in whistler and he was a fuckin douche. i was just chillin with some friends pretty pumped on having landed my first backflip ever and he came up and started tryin to mock me for bein stoked on a backflip since obviously hes got some bigger tricks. several years ago tho, by many accounts hes grown up a bit since then
 
what are you fuckin retarded? jossi is a pipe and slope skier (although i hear he rips big mtn too). kye doesn't compete at all so the comparison is absurd. kye will soon be one of the best all around chargers in the world and if you fail to see that you clearly have eye or brain problems, or both.

its like trying to compare sage or abma to tj or dumont. ridiculous.
 
Dude. As much as we'd all like to think of skiing as one discipline, it isn't. What Kye is shredding is completely dfferent to what Jossi's killing. Kye's riding BC pow. Jossi's in the park/pipe. Try comparing Seth to Dumont.

Try throwing backflips off 50 foot cliffs and stomping them, then tell me that Kye really sucks.

 
Word, and his cork 7 in Idea off a big cliff was really sick. He slays in the BC, but not so much in the park. Still, he's a really good skier.
 
there is a reason why kyes gettin seg after seg in all these major films so i dont see why haters cant just accept that and i like to see you get further
 
I loved his lost and found segment, seems like a lot of people agree with me there. If you havent seen it you probably shouldnt rag on him, well you shouldnt rag on him anyways except for the guy he trashed on after landing a trick... thats pretty retarded. I always like to assume that skiiers and snowboarders arent assholes... but theres still a few.

haha, its not beef like i make my enemies start my jeep and his moms aint safe up in the streets, i just think the kids a dick, based on the one encounter. exactly like i said. i could mock the sadness of your kye fetish for needing to defend him over somethin so insignificant, but im not down with homophobia and i respect your attraction to such a handsome and athletic young man
 
Actually, from the way he tells it, Kye does sound like a douche, and mocking someone after they landed their first backflip is a dick move. He's right, that's stupid.
 
i've only seen one real movie segment of kye from wski 106 and him and sean destroyed whistler, it was so sick, he definately has style and shredding retallack will turn him into something big in the future. he's really laid low since he was 14 and he'll only get better.
 
such a sick skier no question. he freakin shralps the backcountry. He destroys it. if he actualy skied park all the time he would be amazing at that
 
you really are a huge noob arnt u? did u not notice that kye skis backcountry and jossi skis slopestyle? cause you know those two genres are pretty fucking different, and kyes laf seggy was nuts, such big hucks and huge flips, hes startin to look like a younger seth to me
 
other than Candide Thovex and Tom Wallisch, Kye Peterson is my favorite skier. I hope to go skiing and to the skate park with him

you have it all wrong, steeze= style with ease. just because all you park feinds haven seen footage of kye wearing 7 tall tees doing pretzels doesnt mean he sucks at park, either. he'll do a line you wouldnt even look at skiing, and on his way back to the lift he might just swing by a jump and cork 9 it with a backpack on his pow skis. and dont say he wouldn't, becaus eiv'e seen it more than once. kid slays, period.

I completely agree with you man... I def think Kye will be the next Seth. He's 17/18 and dropping huge cliffs. Most people don't have the balls to drop 5ft cliffs. I can't wait to see his seg's next year
 
It is true that there are doper skiers then him on the freeride circuits, but how many are as old as kye? Not many. The kid will get better. But I agree, there are so many kids that are probably better than him, but he got the exposure, whether it was his dad(R.I.P.) or whatever.
 
just dragged out Pop Yer Bottlz . KId shreds it in that, and that was like 4 years ago. Also slays it in Believe and does some crazy lines in Lost and Found,Boy's got skills. No need for Hate.
 
Duh. So do a lot of people who freestyle ski and are prodigies. Throwing cork 7s over a 90 foot mandatory gap at age 13 is no small feat. Then doing the line where his dad died requires HUGE balls. I think he'll lose any punk-assness that he ever had in a couple years and he will be a well repsected pro in the skiing community.
