im going to shout some hate so deal with it. watching pybs i noticed that after every spin kye opens up and does a spread eagle and the shit is annonying. anyone else notice this.

well he hasn't been skiing as long as most of the top pro obviously and hitting jumps that big it's hard to get the rotation perfect if you're not totally comfortable with the tricks. The little spread adjusts the spin so he lands instead of crashing
 
how about u shut the fuck up becasue i garuntee he would school you ANYDAY ANYPLACE ANYTIME...try doing the things that he has done, then maybe you can say something until then...well...you know
 
posts like this get my vote for the stupidest on ns. the topic creator noticed something he doesnt like and is simply discussing it, whether or not the skier in question is better than topic creator is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT. seriously, this shit is so stupid. "i didnt like that jump he did" "SHUT UP HES BETTER THAN YOU" if people didnt criticize pro/good athletes then there would be no such thing as sports writers, sports show hosts, or anything. ever notice why people get mad when football players make a bad pass or something? yeah, so how about YOU just chill out and shut the fuck up, gratzie
 
its just to slow down spins so he can land...throws thing a bit hard sometimes or doesnt come out perfect so it helps get back onto balance
 
they are not intentional. They are because he is not good at controlling his spins. I think they look like he blows up on every landing. Also, hasn't kye been 15 for at least 3 years?
 
I used to do that all the time. i'd huck a cork 7, and at my full height i was already 720 degrees, so i'd open up. it happens. Really good skiers can dial there spins so they just barely make the rotation when they land.
 
so stupid eh??? yeh ok...you seem to know what u are talking about since u have been on here for so much longer than i have...how old are u like 13?? think you are all tough talking all big man on the internet?? then going out to smoke up with your "homies"??...like i said before...no...i made the post to simple put my point accross as...who does he think he is, saying that he thinks it is annoying that kye spreads his arms and legs out before he lands...acting like kye is some how, a worse skier for doing it...if he were to notice the tables and booters that he was doing his spins off were massive, and that it is simply to slow his rotation down so he doesnt die before he turns 16, then i wouldnt have to make such a post that i did. you see it is more members like you who think that everyone should act all nice and shit to each other, and not tell it like it is...lets face it...it IS RELEVANT if he is in question a better skeir that kye, becasue i wouldnt go up to a por football player, and tell him that it is annoying the way he runs, if he has been at the top of the NFL for over 10 years, and has won several superbowls now would I?? no...no i wouldnt
 
it has NOTHING to do with style (as people on here seem to think). It is a manuver he does to slow a rotation b/c he is unable to set the proper spin off a jump that would allow him to land smoothly. He simply is not (or was not) talented enough to set his rotation off the lip that would allow him to land comfortably and in rythm. People that say he is trying to do a spread eagle are sadly mislead. he just blows up those landings....period. stop making it an argument about style, b/c it isn't about that. he just wasn't good enough to successfully complete the tricks he was trying.
 
i think its more of a thing to make you stop spining becasue if you watch WSKI106 in tanner's part he does a sw9 off a booter and does it cuz he is spinning really fast.
 
Yeah dude I was gonna say, Mike Wils does it with double cork 10's and some reallllllly corked 3's and 7's.

I think it looks fuckin bad. in the good way.
 
ya that looked so sick. and i think it is just his size and that maybe he isn't super comfortable with the trick so he spins hard to make sure he lands and spins a little to hard. i do the same thing sometimes. and ya ive seen Zach D doin them all the time
 
its how he stops his spins he could make it more styley but it works and kye is cool so what ever
 
ha ya i love it too and it feels cool if you try it in the air i did it for a while and it was fun stuff it delays your spin which is sweet until you land at a 450
