Thank you for that, but this thread is in reference to the new Kya Bamba Mixtape just realeased a few days ago. Thank's for comin' out.

I really dig this new album, because they got some old-school reggae tracks, more original dubs, and a more laid back summer feel. I like to chill when I am listening to this, as oppose to the old album that got me pretty pumped.

(CLAIM) MY SECOND KYA BAMBA CONCERT ON FRIDAY THIS TIME; IN BUDAPEST (CLAIM)\

Booyakasha. ahahaha

Dude they don't sing. They are a reggae/dancehall sound system. They make dubplates.

In other words so you can understand, they are DJ's who create mix-tapes and get the reggae/dancehall artist to sing and include the name of the sound system.

THEY ARE A REGGAE/DANCEHALL SOUND SYSTEM. KEY WORD: "SOUND SYSTEM"

They don't sing... They are DJ's and producers... They create music called Dubplates which are:

A pre-release copy of a record, often produced exclusively for a

specific sound system (see "sound system")

no, on the mixtape 4 they didn't even do anything but put a playlist of other people's songs together. No work by them at all except for talking over a couple of songs.

THEY DON'T SING ON THE 4TH OR 5TH MIXTAPE...

THEY ARE A REGGAE/DANCEHALL SOUND SYSTEM

please just read about the culture... I even gave you some info on what their work involves

ah I get it now

I just dont really understand how they can claim credit for any of it but whatever. The 4th mixtape didn't represent their sound system...but ok.

They don't claim the credit for it... They enjoy Reggae music and they are trying to spread the sound. No different than a hip-hop or a techno DJ. They aren't just talking over the song yelling Kya Bamba. These artists create dubplates, and include the sound systems name for example :Kya Bamba, Barbass Sound, Love Alliance Sound, and Jaffa Sound.

All the artists creating (singing) the dubplate produce it with the Sound System, and are paid for creating such mix.

Hopefully, that helped a little.

the artists are all down with Kya Bamba most likely because they are very nice guys and want to make fat dubplates for them, thereby promoting kya bamba as a sound system... furthermore the original artist also benefits because their music has more exposure. symbiotic relationship. This is why in most every song the artist calls out other sound systems and sings about how kya bamba is the champion sound........hahaha such a culture

ah. this makes way more sense. thanks for enlightening me, along with the person above this post. I'm not really familiar with the culture, just with the actual artists and music itself.

Thanks alot for that... I guess my explanation wasn't enough for sirfryanator.

I don't think it's that difficult to understand anyways, but w/e
