Kurt vonnegut...

i was just wondering if anyone else enjoys his books. i have just discovered him so far i have read slaughterhouse-five and god bless you, dr. kevorkian. i am just starting to read bluebeard, too. good shit.

I've read em all. pootweeet.

hes the only author who quotes his other books (or well at least). If you like him you will also like:

Philip K. Dick

Chuck Palunik

Hermann Hesse

Jack Kerouac

Kilgore Trout

And you might just like my book. PM me if you want me to email it to you.

My favorite author by far, and Cats Cradle was the first i read by them, and still one of my favorites.

eh i can tell how he'd be someone to argue about his style. i dont really care for what ive read of his, but maybe ill try an essay or something.

woah. i have to read his books for an english project- so far i read dr.kevorkian and half of slaughterhouse 5.... reallly weird

id reccomend irvine welsh, you need a surly pirate stomach that can tolerate all of the painfully depraved antics transpiring throughout

yeah he is my favorite author. i red slaughter house 5 and am reading breakfast fo champions and have another shortstories book when i havent started yet. i have read other but i cant remember

Cat's Cradle had the best ending to any story ever, dying in a position of giving God the finger. I thought it was classic. Excellent reads, all of his stuff.

I really fucking love Breakfast of Champions, I would also suggest Tom Robbins to those authors already listed

I just finished reading Cat's Cradle, its a phenomenal book. Though so are all his other books I have read (Slaughterhouse and God bless you). I highly recommend checking out his books to anyone who has yet to read something by Vonnegut.

ive had some friends say hes amazing, i think i will start reading one of his books sometime.

what do you guys reccomend for my first book by him to read?

idk i read slaughterhouse 5 and he is an excellent author but it was just way tooo fucking strange for me. i heard it was about the fire bombing at dresden so i was expecting that but there is only a tiny bit focused on that and the rest is about aliens and wierdness.

No, there was a book published under the name Kilgore Trout, but Vonnegut had nothing to do with it, I actually heard he was kind of mad about it. I forget the real author's name, though.
