im lookin to buy the k2 kung fuga the guy I was talking with is recomending 179 but I thinkin that will br too long. Any sugestions on size? Im 5 11 ish and about 140lb
 
it will probably measure a bit longer as its a K2, like it might measure to a 183 or 184, so yeah the 179 sounds like a good fit
 
They only measure like that on the hellbents because the rocker makes them ski shorter than they are. Pretty sure a 179 kung fujas will measure 179.
 
K2s are ab it weird now. The non-twins are labelled 3cm bigger than they used to be so now they measure true. We have a 169 Silencer in our shop and a 169 Disorderly and they are way different in length. Ask Schmies, he might know.
 
my friend has 159 public enemies and trust me, they are definitely not longer than that. i had 164s and they were alot shorter than my 171 invaders, and line runs small
 
this is true. K2 measures the running length of the ski, IE, only the part that actually touches the snow. Other companies measure true length, or right from the tip to the tail. So a 179 K2, when compared to other companies skis, is more like a 184ish.
 
yea i'm pretty sure my 179 PEs are no longer than 179. i'm not positive though cuz i haven't actually measured
 
In the past K2's have measured as what I call a true length(with exception of rockered skis). That is the 179cm ski will be 179 cm from tip to tail. Where as other companies will measure by the amount of materials they use, so that in a 179cm ski there is 179cm of material, then when the tips/tails are curved the overall length of the ski ends up being shorter then the 179cm of material length.
