first of all, her part in 1242 is quite impressive, i think it really stepped it up for girls, too bad i've never seen her perform like that though, when she goes to contests and photoshoots, she bitches and sits around more than she skis...thats lame. I have no idea about the model thing, but she is hot...wahtever, ashley b is gonna take over the female scene before you know it....

well, it was pretty sweet at aspen when she pussed out of hitting this jump that was like 75 or 80 feet, and everybody else hit it, even like 10-11 year olds... so how GOOD can she be if she wont even straight air it... and when it took her 7 tries to sick a flat down box...i have seen her parts in movies, her rodeo flatspins are sick...but thats it?...

she definately has skills. the skiing in her 1242 segment is pretty damn sweet. i also noticed she doesn't give a rats ass at competitions. at the open she was more interested in shopping than trying to win the pipe comp. i wish i could already be making so much money skiing that i didn't give a shit about trying to win a few grand at a comp.

I think her 1242 segment is a really step up for a girls segment, and well hell..i cant ski as well as her, so that makes her a 'good' skier to me, and she has been friendly the few times ive ever talked to her while working

sorry to sound like a dick...but womens freeskiing has been pretty much bullshit. granted a select few can sorta throw down, but that doesnt mean every company should pick up a chick for the sake of picking up a chick. it'll get better i believe, it's like womens snowboarding, who was it tara dakides who won every comp with just a backside rodeo/ and now girls are just finally throwing 9s in the pipe. i dont know abou this girl ashley or the other one with LINE, but i hope they're not just a cute face, and can bring somethin to the table, and maybe this future ground trooper can find love with one of these lady ground trooper, ha

josh has somewhat of a point, girls can become a 'novelty' in freeskiing just because every company of flick wants to have one in it. I did manage to find one new girl on the east that has sick style, perfect 3 tails, and some of the best rail style MALE OR FEMALE around

Sponsorships are advertisements. Girls and guys are sponsored as a way to sell products. Sponsoring women makes it much easier to sell to women, which is a very lucrative part of the ski industry. So it doesn't really matter that some chick riding for some company may or may not 'suck', what matters is that she can sell more product to more women.

Always remember: No matter what it is, the reason behind it is usually money.

Kristi...for not giving a rat's ass really does show up Sarah Burke. Sarah works on her skiing way more and trys a lot harder to win things. Kristi has more style on rails where as Sarah looks like shes doing a plow. On top of that Sarah can't flip for shit, maybe her front flip 3's which are ugly as hell where Kriti's Cork 7's and rodeos are stylie. All of Kristi's part are soo much more impressive especially 1242, and thats kinda sad if shes slacking off because she could be good

Kristi has amazing style. I don't know her and have never skied with her so I can't say that she is whiny or a bitch. I hope you guys who are saying that DO know her...

both sarah and kristi are good at skiing or they wouldn't be sponsored. they also helped pave the way for other female skiers in the future and thats sick. props to them for being some of the first.

some reasons kristis part is so much better is because

1)sarah isnt sponsored by companies that are willing to put out big bucks for her segments

and

2)sarah focuses more on her skiing and competitions then getting good footage

i gotta say that i thought her 1242 segment was a little disappointing. not because shes a bad skier-- i think she rips-- but because i didnt think it lived up to her abilities. what the fuck, all that photo shoot crap was totaly unnecessary. they shouldve invested more time and effort into filming her skiing instead of dressing her up like a barbie.

 
^i agree! i bet they did spend a lot of money dressing her up, but she did look hot! kristi and sara are great skiiers and an inspiration to a lot of people.. it gives us girls something to strive for :)

 
i'm sayin kristi's 1242 seggy was awesome, but from seeing her in person i can tell ya she is a puss and a whiner when it comes to bustin out, and her she's a stuck up bitch to boot...Sarah way not be as smooth, but she's way nicer and she's hotter, not to mention a good skier, haha.
