Kris Ostness?

my favorite ski movie is Teddybear Crisis and one of my favorite snowboard movies is lost in translation. both of these movies have in the credits Kris Ostness as the creator/director. is it the same Ostness? because it would make sence since snowboarding and skiing is so similar. if you understand one sport you no doubt understand the other one.
