So I always loved his work dating back to clay pigeons and tee-time. But i guess he kinda disapeared... i believe hes working for msp? anyway I was super pumped to see the bonus footage in HH's Lifter was the bolaro project by kris. Its super refreshing to see a TOTALLY original style of filmmaking and huge ass gaps. whatta you guys think?

i thought it was sorta lame actually. nothing against the guy, i totally respect what he did and how he made a sick and totally free dvd, but watching double backs and double fronts for 15 mins isnt that great

no thats what im saying., every other vid just has the same thing over and over. at least kris is doing something different. of course its hard to do a whole movie on gaps because unlike park you have to build them.

ostness rocks. he is a really nice guy. it sucks that he isn't doing is own stuff anymore. as for gaps, Hell yea. they rock. Candides d7 over chad's is so sick. i would like to see some of the pros out there to come to utah and hit chads. it is fucking insane. the inrun is super schetchy and you have to commit from the start. I don't think people realize the kind of balls it takes to hit a gap that is 120 feet. even pyramid which is about 90 feet. hell, it is so schetchy that you can't hit chad's on a snowboard. ostness started this whole deal (Gaps)and he has my props for that.

kris is a oldschool, newschooler, that rips. the Line Dragon...first backcountry twin. Ya his pro model, he was the man.

I also like his fims, and the gaps, and appriate the guts it take to throw huge flips over those massive gaps. seeing corked grabs over those gaps, would be even more insane and the other big park tricks you see out there. Non the less kris rocks.

I think Ostness will get budgeted for a superslick film someday soon and show everyone that he's a skier with an ariste's vision. And that he can relay the vision through film.
