yes, thats right. tonight (sunday) against the rapters he had 81 pts. he was 28/46 from the field with 7/13 from beyond the arc. second only to the great Wilt Chaimberlan who had 100 pts in 1962. It is also kobe's 5th 50+ pt game this season. this may sound ridiculous but in 1962, Chamberlain averaged 54 pts a game

fuck I hate Kobe, and why must the raptors suck so much its still pisses me off that they got nothing for carter.

Whats even more amzing abou tthis, is that when Chamberlin got the record there was no 3 in the key rule, so he could just stand there and get lobs cuz he was a giant.

Kobe shows he's talented but I think the team could be much greater if he wasnt such a dick, oh well I hate LA.

yea definately. Kobe is amazing, earlier this year he had 62 pts in 3 quarters.

And its understandable that he's cocky because he is so good, but he needs to learn that he can't always score 50+ pts, they need to play as a team

Ha I was about to make a thread about this too. Who the hell does that? I mean 81 points? What a shithead. Then there was a game that was like 154-149 today too. Highest scoring game in 11 years.

I'm sorry... what the fuck did you just say?

81 points?

Jesus titty fucking christ.

And we thought a switch 1440 was amazing?!

and 2 assists, cmon if you're scoring that many points there's gotta be ways for you set up easy buckets for everyone else

ahahahahaha got to take away all our glory and i thought that trick was goin to make sportcenter...They just didnt have room after Kobe stepped into the light!

How many points did the rest of the lakers score though. I dont no the score so i bet they won by a little, when they should have won by 50.

Our high school played Kobe in basketball back in the day. I heard he was NASTY, soo good you couldnt even imagine it.

who cares if he is good see there he is kissing a dude plus he raped a little girl, even though the dumbasses overruled his case

That is why the Pistons rule. They dont have one star player, they have 5 sweet starters that get tons of assists as well as points. The bench gets good play time with good points. They are the best all around team.

How about the Miami Heat? 24-17. What? This is the Miami Heat we are talking about. The team that is supposed to be TOP 3 EASY. If you follow NBA at all you know that the only reason why Shaq is getting things half way done is because of his size and not the quickness and athletism that made him the player he was. This trade benefited Miami more financially then it did statistically. I'm so glad the Lakers choose Kobe over Shaq instead of paying 20 mil a year to a guy who is clearly not or ever will be as dominant as he was at his prime. Next year the Lakers will have a lot of cap space to pick up someone who doesn't mind being in the shadow that will get it done unlike Odom who the Lakers are 0-9 with when he shoots over 15 shots a game.

so he plays for himself and sinks crap, thats great. meanwhile basketball is a team sport. michael jordan never scored 81 points, his highest was 63. why? well, it hink he knew how to play a bit more than kobe.

he is the BIGGEST ball hog ever.. his team wouldnt even be a team without him.. but he should still pass the ball a lot more

dude the pistons entire starting lineup are all stars, ben wallace is probably the best defensive player in the league, chauncey is a leading candidate for MVP, and sheed was a star before he even played for the pistons, not to mention rip hamilton and tayshaun prince, the pistons have more talent than most teams in the league, they just play team basketball, unlike basically every other team in the league, except maybe the spurs

Considering Jordan has attempted more then 46 field goals a game and still didn't break the 63 point mark tells you something. Jordan wasn't the greatest offensive player of all time instead the greatest all around player. If basketball was such a team sport Jordan wouldn't of had 63 either, instead he would of passed the ball to Kerr and Pippen.

Now you are just talking out of your ass and covering it up. Lakers couldn't beat the Pistons with Shaq, Malone, Payton, Kobe and the rest of the supporting cast and you are trying to tell me they would of won it. It's a fact that Lakers are going to spend money this summer to acquire someone who will play up to their full potential for years instead of wasting 20 mil a year on a declining player that will take up cap space and instead of rebuilding now you would wait 3-5 years down the road. Jerry Buss made a good descision on keeping Kobe and it will only prove itself more and more with time.
