Know your roots I feel ghood

For me this edit isn't some "wayback time machine" its one of like 5 edits I will watch if I am looking to get hyped. ( Final year of Joss Team USA, Dale talkingon spring edit, EDIAS park segment, Fuck! and Gang! would be the others) also schlopys 09 season edit, props if you know that one.

Edits like these just don't exist anymore. The fact that I can name edits like those and (most) everyone knows what I am talking about is something that just isn't true today. Everyone says now there are way more edits to chose from and a bunch of different skiers, but its not like when dale threw down in the spring edit(s) there wasn't a ton of stuff out there.

I went on a quest a few months back to find the new I Feel Ghood or the new Spring Edit and it just doesn't exist. I don't know of any edit that has reached legendary status like that in the past few years. Hip hop edits seems to be a dying art and though everyone has different musical tastes, it seems edits likethese, set to high intensity music, seem to have reached their status because they get you pumped to ski.

Music like that, with not just good but jaw dropping tricks and amazing shots made these edits, and I have yet to see that type of quality these days. Case in point: Clown School no longer exists.

Please don't post your personal favorite edit in addition to the expected down votes I am about to get, if you do know of some legendary edit that came out recently please post it.

666 posts, satan is proud of you op.

You know what I miss? All the walk in the park top to bottom edits, short, simple, and sweet. Those were always great for getting me stoked to just get out there.

Great edits in this thread. I can never get enough of afterbang edits, all the landings are so fun to watch. You can definitely tell that times have changed after watching these.

Some people see Gus as the first silver medalist in mens slopestyle. I just remember this edit of him. On of my favorite edits even though its 4 years old

Maybe you've lost your stoke on skiing? I know i love any edit whether it be Wallisch, Henshaw or just a local mountain ripper on NS.

Its easy to get jaded. I know alot of edits today that make me say, "meh" I would've shit a brick over years back.

Not many of the US users here probably never heard of it, but the Skifilm.no Folgefonna edit from 2004 or 2005 is completly gone from the internet. The song was Karusso-why i write. This edit is the most legendary one for me, with the "Breckenridge" edit from the same crew (andreas håtveit, pk hunder grete eliassen etc...) in 2nd place.

But i cant fucking find that edit!!!! Its bothering me a lot, because it was out on skifilm.no some years ago, but suddenly it just dissapaired!!! The very, very few of you that was on the skifilm.no forum before it died might remember it.

Here's the "Breckenridge" edit. This edit is so feelgood that it never, ever get's boring. As OP said, they never make edit's like this anymore.

Jordan Clarke's season edit from last year. I know it's pow/metal and not park/rap, but there is no denying it, this gets my shit fired up to go ski. Although I'm still an EDIAS kinda guy. I have it on my phone; watch it while I poop.

This thread should pop back up again, i want more bager edits like this one

Try hitting up Andreas Hatveit on facebook, or even his Brother Jon. I'm sure they have it somewhere.

Ski videos can be broken into two epochs: pre-heath and post-heath. Every good video that has ever been made was from the pre-heath era. Once eheath got a camera, it was all downhill from there. There is a direct correlation => science??

Also, I didn't know post-heath videos were now considered "old." I'm young as fuck and all the videos being posted seem pretty recent.

I have the edit you are seeking on my computer. don't have time to upload right now, but maybe later today.

Agreed. I switched to skiing from snowboarding in this time span and the edits that were dropping had a lot to do with it.

the vibe has changed.

but the good times will be back. Its just a rough patch.

TC is keeping me content. Even though its not the same either.

I really hope it does. But for now, one of the greatest compilations of all time...

Some of these guys are pretty young and 4 years ago was when they saw their first ski edit, make it their "roots".
