Ive been knitting my own hats for the past year or so, got some good designs, generally earflap and plain beanie style.

Any of you guys do your own?

Dont wanna take any bizznizz away from you poniverus guys but wondering if theres anyone else who has any patterns/designs to share, technique tips etc? Especially crochet Vs. knit?

Are you serious? Fuck man, it'd take me 1000 posts to teach you. Use google and find an instructional site, took me like 2 days to get the basics but 10 weeks to get good. worth it tho

 
Dude im gonna tell ya this once and only once,

its not a ski hat or beanie or wool hat or whatever else, when u ski, u wear a TOQUE, thats the only word for it. get used to it!

i can knit...i make ribbing then stoch. then i add pom pom at end its like candides its sick.... im gonna make mittens next then im gonna make a earflap one. but i dont have the pattern for earflap...can anyone give me the pattern...oh ya and the best way to learn is to hang out at craft stores all the old ppl taught me there and it didnt take too long....

 
My mommy taught me how, I've made two sick hat's, sorry the designs are top secret, but I think it's cool, especially when you're on a plane or something and don't have anything to do. I'm trying to learn how to crochet, but the old lady at the yarn store told me to come to a class, so that's in a week, I heard that's easier, but once you get the hang of knitting you can do it without thinking.

On a lighter note, yeah I'm learning how to do it right now, it's going to be awesome just to think of these sweet designs and try to make 'em. One that im thinking of right now is just a plain midnight blue earflap beanie with a white trim and some nice tassles (sp). Now that would be awesome.

There's a simple solution. Any hat knitting company can have a website designed for them to promote their product, designs by me, just gimme a free hat and i'll do it. I already got a Poniverus hat for advertising and I'm gonna wear that, but my friends and brother may get cold ears... come on, think of the children.

I knitted a pretty hat for my dog. it's tyte, but I don't have knitting needles anymore cause I had them in my backpack when I was getting on the plane, and they took them, destroying the scarf I was working on.
