Knife

Ok, I will give the first serious reply to this thread: Are you looking for a folder or a fixed blade?

Petzel The Climbing company makes some good knifes but I think they are only 4 inches. Buck knives are good

Folding.

I only use fixed blades for when I'm jumping out of trees with the blade in my teeth for no apparent reason (HAHAHA!). I will hurt my self. Woman driver (HAHAHA!).

If you want a quality knife and don't need it right away then just keep an eye out for one on SAC. They have seriously legit knives on there all the time.

Sorry if you don't know what sac is though.

knifes are for people who are afraid to defend themselves.

I'd always be afraid of a knife opening up in my pocket and stabbing me

if u are in the states go to any flee market and they will have tons of knives garunteed for like 5 bucks. if u are in canada it is going to be harder to get one.

butterfly's are pointless. only thing about having one is it is more intimidating but you will cut yourself many times learning how to open it quickly and effectivley.

plus when u pull a knife you dont wanna be fuckin around with it. so just get a good gerber. they are very good quality and if u get one with a roller on if you can open it with one hand with the flick of your thumb.

swicth blade would do the same i guess.

I'm actually good with knives, and don't hurt myself with them. It's scissors I hurt myself with. Like today - blood everywhere. I just want a knive that is durable and will last forever.

Get a sabatier knife. French made, will last forever, and it's got a cherry wood handle.

Or you could go with global knives, they just look really nice.

Butterflies aren't good for much more than cutting yourself or intimidating someone else. You need to decide how much you want to spend. What you pay for is what you're going to get. If you want a knife that will last a lifetime and actually hold an edge, you're looking at more than $100. Benchmade is probably what you're looking for, they're not the best, but they're pretty good. Gerber makes very good cheaper knives, but don't expect it to cut well. Basically any stainless steel is going to be shit. I'd say that for what you want, go benchmade.

Get an "assisted opening" knife. They're technically not a switch, so they're legal, and they open just as fast.

Might not be able to get one with a 6" blade though, that's a lot of knife. What do you need such a large one for? I can't think of anything I'd need a knife that big for. Chopping wood maybe? Gang fights?

Durk-A-Dur. I get it now! (LOL) But anyway, I'm on Steep and Cheap almost everyday and I have never seen any knives. Maybe a Dakine tool thing, but no real knives.

I don't need a blade that big, but it would be nice. A four inch would work perfectly. I just need one for my truck. You never know when you need it for something.

I actually found one on a local road a couple of years ago. It was a folding 6-inch blade, but my mom stole it from me.

I got one of there for work, super nice folder and a really good deal, like 65% off or something redonk. What do you want it for and then maybe I can help?

Yeah, they come on more in the summer though. I haven't seen one in a while. But a few months back I would see at least 2 a day. Oh and shame on you for revealing our secret.
