Knife Party - Rage Valley EP leak

im really not one to judge other peoples music but seriously how does that not hurt your ears to listen to?

listen to these in full quality with a good sub, there can be so much more to dubstep than just screeches and star wars noises

well obviously you are not part of their target market. as far as being producers though, regardless of what you think of their musical content they are some of the busiest in the game right now.

Its much easier to produce high pitched music like this than it is to produce proper deep bass music. Forming sub bass waves is like trying to build a jump out of blower pow, and it just doesnt like to stay together. Making high pitched noises is like building one out of perfectly packable wet snow.

you are ignorant as hell.

electronic music haters fail to understand how difficult it is to keep a strong continuous workflow by themselves while manipulating the DAW to fit the needs of the song, while keeping all levels and EQs in check. It is much easier to play live music IMO, you can feed off the other players and therefore play for longer, and you are able to focus on your instrument solely. When you're making electronic music you essentially have nobody to feed off of but yourself. and are obligated to be the engineer at the same time. instead of playing one instrument you're the entire band/orchestra and you're mixing the whole shabang at the simultaneously. if you tried to even dip your toes into this your head would explode. shut the fuck up and try before you hate, pussy.

not to mention you obviously have no perspective in understanding sound design and how difficult a task that actually is. synthesizers are ridiculously complicated instruments with thousands of possibilities that take a lot of practice and a lot of time to actually understand. you clearly have spent no time with this so you should put your foot in your mouth and keep it there.

It does not mater how dificult it is to produce, if it still sounds like mixing distressed over done base with the sound of fingernails on a chalkboard.

Aka, it still sucks, and sounds like shit.

I agree that all the screeches are obnoxious, but it seems like all the good, melodic songs have them, so I just put up with it. This song, for example, is really catchy until it devolves into screeching:

you need to expand your musical horizons then. There are tons of awesome melodic songs with out screeches. Listen to the second half of this in hd with a sub

this is another really good one too, same kind of thing, it starts to get a bit more melodic half way through
