A rich white man that cried victim to the system he was part of. Someone that said smoking doesn't kill. That attacked women, poor, young people, minorities and anyone that didn't agree with his small view of the world. Someone that took advantage of the poor uneducated fan base to increase his wealth by using fear and lies. Someone that said he stood for family values and was married 5 or 6 times. Someone that helped give rise to the false reality that many of those on the far right now live in. That is the worst type of person.

Remember, approximately 50% of this country is Republican. Posting hate speech directed against republicans only contributes to sewing division. At this time in our nation we should be focused on finding common ground and healing.

Can't say I feel any sympathy for the guy. We was a pretty fine piece of shit like Alex Jones, promoting inaccuracies and conspiracies. He regularly insulted people and even attacked Michael J Fox about Parkinsons and exaggerating his symptoms. He had the biggest radio talk show so his impact was significant over decades.

i'm definitely not "celebrating" his death but i gotta say, people getting offended at this thread is pretty rich

limbaugh was pure monetized hate, for a relevant example he literally spent time on his radio show in the 90s on a segment making fun of aids victims "who were dying long, painful and excruciating deaths" (quoted are limbaugh's own words on it)

i honestly don't think most of the people responding angrily in this thread have spent time listening to his stuff, he got rich by stoking culture war nonsense and stirring hate. again, not happy he died, but the hand wringing in this thread is a little ironic
