do any of you have this problem, sometimes my knees just hurt for no reason and im sure its related to skiing, so if anyone has any advice...

could be a bit of tendinitis. I've had it for awhile now and it's a bitch to get rid of, just went to the doctor. it basically comes from over-use, and the only way to get rid of it is to not use it, or grind an ice cube over the spot and take some alleve. if that's not it, you might not be warmed up enough or tweaked it somehow. i got jumper's knee from playing b-ball, but it comes from all sports.

'it's like that, and that's the way it is.'

Knee pains seem to come with the territory of skiing.

My advise would be to see as many doctor's as you can that way one doctors treatment might actually work for you. Worked for me anyway, well kinda worked.

ski=life

life=ski

yeah, unless you can specify something that could have directly affected it, its probably tendenitis, but get it checked out by a doctor as soon as you can, cause if its something more than that, its going to get worse and worse, and trust me, its not the greatest feeling in the world.

R.I.C.E. rest ice compress elevate, look that up on google if you have no idea what i'm talking about, icing seems to be best, do it 2 - 3 times daily and rest them if you can, my knees suck goat balls but i'm fortunate and haven't torn anything so i'm doing all i can to prevent crap from happening, like stretching and strengthening consistently, if your knees are hurting find out whatever you can like on the net or in books and see if you can figure out what the problem is, one thing i heard is that simply leaning back in your ski boots can put tons of stress on them and eventually F them up, so maybe change up your technique and see if it helps, good luck dude

If you are still growing that might aggravate the stress on the knees. I had knee problems till I was 17 or so then it stopped. Your legs might also be too weak relative to the impacts that you endure when skiing. The problem is, it's not easy to mend that w/o straining your knees even more. Definitely get them checked. Don't ski moguls anymore for some time and go more for BC instead of park.

There are lots of excersises to build cruciate strength and flexibility

If anyone would like me to give them some exercises then feel free to message me

I love gymnastics and trampolines but nothing beats a 'Gymnastic Tramp' for fun
