Yo NS,

Just wondering if anyone has experienced a cartlidge injury in their knee and what happened.

I've torn my meniscus skiing over christmas, but I am hoping I won't need keyhole.

Cheers.

not in my knee but i was skiing on the last day last season and was having as good time spring skiing in like 60 degree weather. was chillin th the park. someone had hit there edge on the knuckle just right that it made like a 1 foot indent in the soft snow, when i landed my tail caught that and flipped me over and i did a frontflip to 360 fail crash, landed straight on my rib cage and i hairline fractured my sternum all the way down the bone, and broke and smnashed all the cartilidge around the ribs. (ribs dont have sockets just cartilidge where they meet the sternum). and broke 4 ribs. if any one else have broken there sternum or a rib they how for a fact that its thhe worst thing becasue when you inhale your chest expands and thats a little painful with a broken sternum 4 broken ribs and fucked up cartlidge. just my 2cents of a story but vibes man and get better

I have osteochondritis dissecans, requiring 2 surgeries and a total of 2.5 years off high impact sports. Its an accute case where a lesion of cartilage loses blood flow and in my case, shears off the lateral femoral condyle. Super frustrating because no one crash caused it, but rather just repetitive impacts. How the hell do you avoid that in freestyle skiing? Anyway, take care of your knees and listen to your body. It may be more fun to push through the pain, but long-term, you will regret it. And cartilage doesn't heal the way ligaments do.

that SUCKS

I blew my ACL in June, then separated what was left of my ACL from my PCL in february. Getting surgery June 1st
