Knee Injury, May Lead to Surgery

As I am typing this out I am completely jacked up on tylenol T3's and I am suprisingly feeling no pain at all.
Let's start this off about two weeks ago, I was longboarding down a hill I am very comfortable with and had ridden several times before, I was coming up to a row of cars at the bottom of the hill so i began footbreaking, when all of a sudden my foot decides to stay planted, thus yanking my knee cap way off so that it was facing my right knee in a very akward (and painful) way. So anyways 2 weeks pass by and im walking on it again, feeling strong, almost 100%, then right after school today i was joggin after a friend, planted my foot akwardly and bam! The knee cap is about 2 inches to the right of where it should be, so now im sitting at home with a full leg brace on (4 inches below my waist to 2 inches above my ankle).
It was signifigantly more painful the second time I did it and the doctors are sending me to physio while they attempt to decide whether or not I need surgery, this means(surgery or not) that I won't be skiing till late January, at the earliest.
Any one else had any related injuries?

bummer dude.. good luck with recovery

but seriously there should be an injury forum or something... since it seems like everyone makes a thread when they're injured.. makes sense i guess, nothing else to do.

I haven't skied in 3 years and have had 2 surgeries, probably having another all on the same knee. It sucks, and I still work at a ski hill so i see it every day, that doesn't help; + vibes maybe you will be alright without the knife.
