So i just got done wtih surgery with my acl mcl and maniscus and they said they recomended getting a brace for activities like skiing. So i was wondering if anyone had any good ideas. I've heard of CTI and that's about it. Sorry if there is a thread made for this already but the internet sucks here to try to searchbar it.

Thanks much

I had some MCL issues and general knee problems this last fall and early winter. I ended up getting the Asterisk Cell knee braces. I was nervous at first about how much it would help. They ended up being great! My my knees felt 10x better after a day of skiing vs a neoprene /w metal hinges brace. For the money (I paid 530shipped for the pair from Pittsburghpowersports.com) they exceeded my expectations. They have a knee cap protector (mainly for the moto guys) that is removable, which is what I did and makes them less bulky.
Alot of people rag on knee braces saying they dont really do anything. They definitely help but make sure to continue doing rehab/leg strengthening exercises. Relying on them solely will just lead back to knee problems

I had acl reconstruction back in june. I started skiing 6 months after surgery with a neoprene brace. Mostly just because I was scared. After a few weeks, I ditched the brace and haven't been skiing with one since. My surgeon told me that its better to not rely on one at all. But, I have also heard that they help people with loose joints.

And to comment on the CTI brace. I had a friend that retore his acl while wearing one. So they dont guarantee anything.

also they are super light weight and he says he barely notices them and stomps big cliffs at jackson, snowbird etc with them on, as far as park goes, i am unsure but ive handled them and they are light as fuck and cant see them under his ski pants, hope that helps.
