hey does anyone here kiteboard? i want to start but i dont know very much so post if you want to and if you dont want to think of something funny and write it-hans
i went to the red bull kite freeze here in minnesota and it looks like a ton of fun. basicly all you need to do is aquire a kid for it (they are different then most parachuting kites, lighter so that the wind picks them up) and get your rigging set and find a place to practice. I got some shots and video up on midwestskier.com if you wana check it out.
I started doing that shit. My dad got like 4 kites and all the shit. i got stuff for kite sking and kiteboarding. It is sweet I haven't done any huge tricks just got some air. i'll get back to you with some sites cuz my dad knows all that shit.
i live in Door County in Wisconsin, so it's fucking perfect over here for it. there's a kite shop with a guy that teaches near me, and there are about 15 guys that go out on weekends, it's crazy shit. i would definitely get into it if i had some $$$, it's kinda expensive.

hey wifreeskier is the shop in fish creek? if it is where is it and whats the name of it? does anyone want to by my ps2 and or dreamcast ( yeah a dreamcast)
If anyone is interested in kitesurfing/boarding/skiing there are bunch of guys/gals that do it and are active members in a chart area that is more of a forum on www.windancing.com they have lots of knowledge and often sell their stuff for really cheap.
my friend and I split the cost of a 4 meter kite. It's badass. We found a shallow-water beach and had the kite pull us on my skimboard. It is great fun. The only bad thing is the kites are expensive as hell. The one we bought was maybe 4 or 5 hundred. But it is great fun, I was even pulled by the kite accross a town on my skateboard. You should definatly get a 3 or 4 meter for beginners though, because even in 10 m.p.h. winds, it can tug someone who is 150 pounds into the air!
yeah i tried kiteboarding this winter, except i skiied, its a ton of fun, jumping is hard i got draged nearly half a mile when the guy teaching me let me use the biggest kite he had and i was trying to jump and it got behind me and i got wrapped in the cords, its a shit load of fun though
on the topic of kiteboarding tho, i sold some twin tips to guys this year for kite boarding and they showed me some bomb ass videos of some french dudes. it was tight.. and that's my story
yo i have started kite boarding the first step to kite boarding is getting a trainer kite they are easy to fly and once you learn to fly those you money
