about a month ago in edmonton we had a crazy windstorm with 150km/h winds that lasted 5 minutes, this guy was kiteboarding when this popped up and he was knocked out on the ice and unable to cut loose of his kite and was slammed into an abandoned church, he was killed instantly

I kiteboard in the summer and the thing about it is that you dont just do it once when you re on vacation it doesnt work like that. It takes alot of practice and is dangerous to unsuspecting people around you if you dont know what you re doing.

yeh every year my town has a major kite and windsurf competition and this year so many people have gotten into kiteboarding like 4 of my mates do it now and bout 10 other guys have started in the last month

I was at a charity golf tournament and there was a silent auction....there was a package with a kitboarding mag, dvd and lessons...so i bid $20, and I won it.......AND it turns out one of my friends from highschool will be the instructor. WOoo hoo

What should i expect my first time?

you gotta practice on the ground with the kite A LOT before getting in the water. You need to know how to properly control the kite before getting on a board or else you just waste your time
