My advice when you start: just go in a nice breeze, if the wind is strong at all and you have the wrong kite you will get handled like you've never been before
Yeah I read some article in a magazine not long ago about this, looked pretty insane, not sure what happens when you loose control and go flying off a cliff... Saw some snowboarders doing it a couple of yeras back on a mountian over hear.
no kite skiing its for real i saw it on the eurosport news once. thye have freestyle kite skiing comps!! looked pretty strange you know like they would hit jumps and get huge air and slide rails and stuff i dunno how it worked just showed a few clips but yeh fuckin weird none the less!!

Well i've been kitesurfing for about a year now, all i can say is that its hella powerful, but also a big hassle. I wouldn't spoil the free-feeling you get in the mountains by strapping myself into a harness and working a kite all day, it realy takes alot of effort untill you get good.
I almost got one then decided to go west for the winter instead. But what looks coo is the kite wing smaller you can uses in smaller areas easer to move around with ect. Check the link
thts not kite skiing, thats a skate wing. If your talking about real kite skiing, first of all where, and i garuntee youlll need a course. or youll be in the hospital pretty soon.
also make sure youve got the right kite, if its too bog t wlll drag you and you wont be able to stop
try kite boardin first too see if you like it. i haven't tried it but i imagine it might be easier to learn because there is a relative abundance of people out there who do and could teach you a thing or two.
I read an article about it in Coulior. You can do it in the mid west and ski with the wind on completely flat ground. It looks cool, but just expensive.
Imagine the ns outcry if u(lateralis) were banned. There would be countless threads and petitions to bring u back, it would be like when treadway got banned from whistler. Someone would probably make and sell 'Free Lateralis' stickers and shit. -j
I know that the question was how does kite wing compare to a kite my big beef with the kite is you need a big open area it looks like the wing could be used in a smaller area like soccer fields.
hey Dookz you only been kitesurfing not kiteskiing? want to get into kitesurfing, got a house on the Murray down at Goolwa (which is also next to sea) where we get a heap of wind, what is best way to get into the sport here? I imagine it is helaa expensive?
