Kissing Bridge - Updates

Nope general storm. It's a big low that is going to blow up to a big Nor'Easter once it nears the coast. We'll see some lake effect on Friday.

Storm path for Sunday will really change the amount of snow we get. If it tracks to the west, it'll be a bigger storm, but we will see some snow either way.

nice little shot of snow today, looks like a weekend storm is a good possibility. Lets hope the storm tracks work out in our favor, should be a great weekend.

i wont be going the hv.

but the snow was pretty good yesterday. (thursday) they had pretty good coverage and they should hopefully be able to open something else this weekend.

I'll be at Holiday tonight. If you see a kid in a green coat and grey pants, first year Invaders, possibly no poles, being all steezy and buttering around, that's me. Hah, scratch the steezy part, and add into the butters. I may also be around a snowboarder wearing all white...not sure yet.

Yes-ish, as much as I can... and I make excuses to ski. Probably not until this upcoming Friday though. Was I skiing with someone else at that point? The other Steve was there (not SkierX, in case SkierX in wondering) I was rippin' down Northwind all night basically. But yea, I'm pretty noticeable I think, I get a bit excited and bouncy while I ski.

I'm heading out today after work to the park, the guys at EA Action Sports promised my skis mounted by 5, so I will no longer be rocking Invaders, but Rossi Ghettos. Also, I'll be hitting less rails, I'll do the jump, and boxes, but I want to wait, until Sat, to hit rails... I dunno why, just cause, they're new, and I like them like that.

Pretty damn sick. I can actually carve now. With the Invaders, not sure if I want to sell or not... I want something for summer skiing, shitty spring day/ rock skiing, and maybe the occasional urban. But I'll have to think about it. I'm too emotionally attached.

it would be nice if they could take care of the giant mudhole just after people board the lift, i was skiing single yesterday and happened to get paired up with a little kid so they slowed the lift down, then the lift sped up and my tips tilted down and got sucked into the giant mudhole, i fell off and so did the kid. my brand new rampages are soaked in mud, my skiis were covered along with my pants. i was too pissed to do anything besides leave.

So the main desk employees are clueless and very unhelpful, borderline rude.

I noticed that ACM made a note about telemark lessons available if advanced notice was given. I questioned the desk about telemark rentals being available, and the woman was rude, and unhelpful. Advised me to go to the rental shop and ask them. Seemed like she couldn't be bothered. It was around 1pm yesterday, and the area was very quiet.

Rubbed me the wrong way. Poor customer service. Least she could've done was offered to call the rental shop herself to get a straight answer.

I can deal with being treated marginally by a minimum wage ticket checker, but a front desk employee whose job is SOLEY customer service and to give a good first impression to customers.

Mr. X, your note has printed and hand delivered to the manager of the Ticket Centre. A dedicated customer service desk is something that we have wanted for years, who knows, perhaps someday. As to rentals, not available here, they are available at the Colden Ski Shop just down the road, K2 and Crispi, the stuff is only about two old and has been used very little, they may even be intrested in unloading some of it on the cheap. I have not been in contact with them this season but am sure they had them on hand ther last two seasons. Also, limited demo/rental tele gear can be had a Campus Wheelworks on Elmwood downtown and from Sean at the City Garage in E'Ville. Mike Kuzidlo (sp) is a PSIA cert telemark instructor who is available and the best suited to teach new teleskiers, if you have experience tele skiing and are looking advance to the "expert" catogory I can help you out. Mike is an excellent instructor. Campus wheelworks is running a Tele Tuesdays Club starting Jan 29th, 100.00 for 6 tuesday nights and one weekend ticket in March and two tele lessons. I hope this is helpful and apologize on behalf of KB for your bad experience the other night, unexcusable to be sure.

Thanks for the info on locations. I'll check out Colden. It was spur of the moment yesterday as I was going skiing with the fiance, and she's a beginner and I felt it would be a PERFECT time to learn something new myself.

I cna understand not knowing the answer yourself, but a little courtesy and making a phone call yourself to find the answer for a customer is not much, especially when it is a slow day, and quiet.

The woman I asked in the rental shop was helpful.

I don't wish for anyone to get in "trouble".

Who's ready to slay some powder tomorrow?

12-22 forecast by tomorrow evening for Glenwood, according to the most current NOAA forecast. Looks like KB will get the most snow out of anywhere locally.

Woooo.

Telemark is super fun, everybody should try it. I just taught my first group of people today through my school, they all loved it too.

I am also super jealous of the snow coming there. We just have cold, lots of cold. No snow.
