Kissing Bridge park crew

If you have been to kb this year you have definitley seen the 'big' jump they have that is always closed (its about 30-35 ft). The park crew, which is made up entirely of snowboarders, finally opened it, yet only allowed the park employees to hit it. What is the deal with that? They build the biggest jump they ever haveever had, and then don't allow anyone except themselves to hit it? The only reason they built it was for looks, the boarders were hardly clearing the table to begin with. They go around calling themselves the 'kb army', trying to make their own little posse, but most of them hardly do anything worth noting (there are one or two who can really throw down). The park crew is just a bunch of immature kids who don't have any real talent and won't open up their damn eyes and realize that they aren't all theyre cracked up to be.

i was there this past weekend. the park sucked, other then the trap doublekink and jump everything was very poorly maintained. the roped off jump wasnt even that big...

I hit that jump about 5 times today. nothing that special. real mellow. Not any pop, so you don' get much air at all.

However, it is 45 foot. It has been measured countless times both by pacing and with a tape-measure.

But still, it isn't that special.

And actually, i was told today, that they can't just let anyone hit it because it's out of their policy I guess, so the only people they will let are people they KNOW can handle it. SO in other words, they have to see you ride.

really? That jump looked like it had some serious pop to me. It would be nice to try it out, was it open or did you get special permission?

its open when the conditions are right, and they will let you hit it if they know you can handle it.

Yup. All they need to do is know you can handle the jump and they are cool if you want to hit it.

Most of the guys are actually really cool once you start talking to them,a nd they know you. Just go ahead and talk to them.

i was there the other day and it was open - it was pretty good but it was so slow it was tough to clear the top

You can hit it during the dAY, BUT at night i dont think you can cause the landing is not lit
