Kiss threatens Line skis

as much as i care for the fact that kiss is a jew band and likes to crush the dreams of young people...only thing i care about is when my anthems reach my front door...so fuckin hurry up people i want my skis

I'm going to have to agree with this. I mean, you'd think Line would realize they need to get permission first. I think how close of a resemlance the graphic is to the band though, will determine who's "right" and who's "wrong".
 
dude kiss is fuckin awsome. i dont think you realize how awsome they are. look at all those golden records, collectables, fans, masks, etc.
 
Yeah, fuck KISS. I was just about to get my Anthems and this shit comes up. Thats bullshit! LINE says it will have an answer to the dispute on Monday November 13. But this totally sucks.
 
Didn't the same thing happen back when Line had the Jedi skiboard? You would think they would learn from it.
 
You'd think Line would have learned their lesson back when Lucas did the same thing for their old Jedi skiboards.

I understand copyright laws fully and all, But I am struggling to see where Line used a copyrighted image?

So it bears a resemblence to Gene Simmons. So what. It doesn't say Kiss anywhere, and isn't a previously made graphic that was taken. It's a guy playing guitar with a painted face.

Of did KISS go so far as putting a copyright on the fact that NO other guitarist can ever wear white makeup on his face and play guitar ever?

It's a bullshit attempt by a washed up musician, or a greedy record label that can't produce revenue in record sales because most mainstream music these days isn't worth the $12 to buy a CD.
 
First thing I thought when I read this thread. Then didn't Rory Silva use to get the make up stuff out of his face after the shoot? I can't remember
 
what about the old line invaders they had so many people on em. Did they get in trouble for that ski other than delaming?
 
it's retarded. it looks nothing like gene simmons. they can't put a copy right on 80's metal guitar players who wear makeup.
 
it's different when old washed out musicians WANT their everything everywhere but will sue if it gets out without them getting paid
 
gene simons is really gay, i hate all his shows. and all the kids in his shos hate him. its kinda hilarious.  I am pretty sure there is also a court case between k2 and iron maden.
