i'll be there!!! jess, the park is such an improvment... i've been a kriby loc my whole life, and it's so awesome to see the place FINALLY starting to realize that they will have to spend money to make money... i'll see you all there, it should be a good contest

shit guy i am hoping that i can go...i will know by tonight becasue i am checking my hours but i will call in sick if i am working so its all good...honestly though i think this comp should be dope, it sounds like it is going to be a better turn out than last year and now i will be in the next age group so i will almost automatically get last becasue i blow...but lets not turn this into another 10 fest...(coughcough xgames)...i think i am gonna go for style over huck...which means i hav ALOT of work to do over the next couple of days...

a couple questions....how big are their tables and what are the objects set up as...(like general over view of a few of the lines if someone is bored and feels like typing it out)...becasue unfortunatley i wont be skiing there until the comp so the locals have a big adfvantage over the majority of the kids comming becasue they all ski at lakeridge and shit thats why this comp should be good because everyone is going to be pumped and is going to be THROWING DOWN...CANT WAIT BITCHES
 
^I'll try and get you some pics of the setup...basically from the top you will have an option of 2 lines (Left is gonna be the single kink, into the 50'er...with the option of hitting the battleship. Right is small flat bar angled upwards, to the single kink box)...then the lines merge..to a small table (good for small switch stuff/3's/5's), into the bigger table (should be 35-40 feet for the comp), into the choice of the jib box (big drop to spin off of), or the flat bar set up like a handrail, into the C-Box
 
oh yah....go PRE-REGISTRER!!!! I guarantee there won't be any spots left the day of, and I'd like to see a lot of skiers out.
 
^for sure...age groups will be 13 and under, 14 and over...but I don't really know of many skiers coming out that will be older than 16/17. You'll do fine...there is an easy option and a harder option for lines....
 
last year there were 4 good people outta a feild of like 20-30 skiers...you wont be the worst :P
 
is going to the hill the only way to do it? cant email or phone because i dont have a ride!
 
ok my friend james (park wardon at lakeridge) has a nneon pink on peice, so you will see me there in that for sureeee. haha im not joking

If you listen to the options....theres one that gives you the info....its the same as the poster....random guy in the gas mask....i just felt like drawing it...if your confused by that...wow...

yeh i am thinking the same thing about the jump part...becasue of the fact that i have some shit i want to do swicth on the big table, but i worried about speed issues...ow well...i will just see the first time i ride the park
 
its not bad dude... you can drop from the tranny of the first wee table and get enough speed to hit the second table switch so im sure everything'll be great

no worries, the park is fucking sick, dont doubt!

The table is lower than where it was last year. We expect most people to ride over the small jump to get speed if speed is going to be an issue that day...which by the look of it, it probably won't. If it is mushy...get some WAX!!!!
 
yeh last year was harsh...it was so fucking chunky by the end of the day becasue of people hiking and stff for the rail comp...i still dont understand how someone could of hit that table swicth becasue it was like hella chunky...but yeh i think i need to wax up anyways...and thanks for all the info it has been a tremendos help///

speed is not an issue...the icey landing isnt very forgiving to regions like my ass though!
 
well its tommorow, see you guys around, ill be wearing a brown orage jacket and my lime green 1080 boots should give me away. Ill be taking pictures of the comp so say hi.
 
The Comp was great guys, thanks for coming out, I was telling the truth when I announced that the Skiers were killing the snowboarders out there today! All in all, even the boarders gave an awesome show...how 'bout may little friend Garrett "720" Eddy...hes nine...If you liked the park today, spread the good word!

that was such a sick comp, the skiers were throwing down so hard but it didnt seem to reach the level of insane seriousness which was really cool. I took 109 pictures today and im gonna put a few online tonight if possible, if you want anymore pictures of yourselves from me just tell me what you were wearing and what skis you had on.

WHAT was with that second announcer? EVERY singel fakie out was a 270, and luc somehow lands a "360 to 270 out". And the "airing over the flat to the down" haha oh man. but over all itwas sick

lol break down? On a note the announcer sort of screwed up the 360 to 270 off but I cant really blame him for it. I was right beside the box and it was a 360 (presumably overrotated a 270 on) and the 180 could have easily been mistaken as a almost 270 because it went so fast.
 
actually that announcer had no fucking clue what he was talking about hahhaa... what a bad choice for MC. ANYWAYS... that was a really fun contest, i think everything turned out well... alex absolutly killed it... i would like to see the final scores cause i bet it would have been tight! kid is so good though... 270 on the urban was butter...

hahah jake im glad u said it...becasue lets face it...we were ALL thinking of it...(unless u are going to kick my ass ben, in which case disregard what i said)haha

but on a more serious note, that comp fucking killed honestly, yeh some shit was wack like some of the judging seemed kind of sketch with the announcing(omfg that was REDICULOUSLY FUNNY)but all in all, that comp was so dope, plus i learnt 270 on 270 off on the flat box too so its all good...

and for the record, yeh i think that 270 on on my last run was over rotated but w/e it still wasnt no 360 on 270

GORDON is not hoss...but the GM, Mark...who was the announcer. Don't be too hard on him...he's still old school ;) Good comp guys. Wish I could've seen more, but I was stuck at the top.
 
Thanks Jess....I'm old school for sure...you guys were in diapers when I was throwing "helicopters" and "screamin Semens" And in another self defencive note...cause you've all hurt my feelings HAHA....try staring into the sun to see your uphill run then switching and turning down hill (where you couldn't see any landings) with the big blue dots in your eyes and guessing what you did there! Hoss was the "second announcer" he's old schooll like me...Thanks for coming out guys! You put on a show!
 
nah man u seemed to know what was going on...it was just hoss who seemed kind of sketch...but it doesnt matter...that didnt effect my run at all...a matter of fact, it made it sound better
