kinks in rails?

so i'm trying new rails recently and i'm having trouble transitioning from flat rails to shapped rails. i can grease any flat rail at my hill but when I try i flat down or something that changes steepness my feet shoot out infront of me. any suggestions on how to make this transition?

When doing a normal kinkrail (flat-down), shift your weight a little bit forward as you go over the kink. You have to follow the angle of the rail so to speak.

 
a good method for downs is keep your lead hand pointing the direction of the rail and look where your hand is pointing, it'll keep you square and thinking about something other than 'oh shit oh shit', and just lean forward (by forward I mean downhill obviously). if it's an up direction change just stay square with your weight, but be ready to absorb it with your lead leg do the same thing with your hands and eyes. Treat a curve the same way as I told you to do a down. except dont be afraid to turn with the rail, like really steer with your lead hand and hips, if you dont you'll liekly slide off the end, or fall inside the C. Give it a shot.

i'd say keep the speed kinda low, maybe your going from flat to down too fast and its throwing off your weight transition

just chew some gum, listen to 'shook ones' by mobb deep, wear some steezy pants so you will have a nice stance, dont stand very tall so you can look like tanner hall

 
Practice is the only way you'll learn. You just have to watch the other guys gettin it and copy them.

 
focus on something other than the rail. Listen to tunes, using yuor lead hand works really good but practice, smoke a joint...

if your doing a flat down, reach for your front boot as your going down the rail once you have greased the flat part.

 
yeah trouble maker that sounds like a really good idea i'll give that a shot. yeah i've thought about just hitting it with a ton of speed and slidign the flat and gapping the down and other flat haha
