Kings not opening til early feb, are you kidding me PC?

heard from someone that kings should be open on saturday, if not tomorrow. So stoked on the setup.

Sat for sure, they gotta add snow to the back of the jumps and fix up some other shit for public.
 
kings is exactly the same as the course. they just filled up a little snow behind the jump lips and then filled up the gap a little for the butter pad. other than that its all the same from what i could see.
got about two and a half hours of sunlight this morning and man was it fun. rails were super sick. butter pad was a little sketchy but pretty fun. jumps were sick but could use a little pop. but man this morning was so sick
 
I hit it up yesterday, and small side jumps are soo sick. was barely getting enough speed to get over those so I have yet to try the big line... Just need some jibs at the top and bottom.

Kings jumps are $$$$ -- But as said before rails up top and bottom would make it the best kings set-up ever!

Smaller lips were made next to the big line, the ball, pole jam, tank, down c, down Brail, and dragon rail were taken out, and the landing on the first is a lot better.
 
Holy crap the playground is no more! Stoked to see it tomorrow. Glad the first jump is better to I always felt like I was falling out of the sky on that jump.
 
i kinda like it slopestyleish. flows real nice. however a terrian park would be pretty ill too. hard decision >_<

You're dumb how many times have you told me you like to have a nice stock setup so you can go through like a slope style run, and complained at the beginning of the year that PCMR was getting TOO creative. TOO CREATIVE!?!?!?!?
 
dude i love the set up but last time i was in there you only got six hits and like 300 yards of kings had no features. i want a full lenth kings not a 3 rail hits. gnar butter, pad 3 jumps. they can fit so much more and still have the flow and dopeness. and i said that about opening weekend when i wanted to hot lap smooth features. but im over it.its fucking kings, thats where the tech shit belongs imo.
 
Main pick line is closed tomorrow for a comp. They are fucking retarded for making us compete on a day like tomorrow. Heaviest snow of this storm is expected to be all day tomorrow.

They added a wack flat-up-flat and put the elbow in as a down feature and put a small ball at the end. sigh...

On the plus side, the first jump actually looks like it has a steep landing, the others look steeper than they were but still quite flat. Id love to see a kings rebuild, the opening day in in kings last year was so sick, so many amazing features and its march and kings is a fraction of what it was last year at this time. Please pc, come on.
 
Don't forget the hip! I thought it was pretty fun but the size of the lip/airtime ratio is a little wack. Does that make sense?

Heard its closing beginning of april...

Also heard since no one has been riding kings, they might cut out the run for next year, since they lease the land and they might just cut it out of the budget. WTF jonseys first now the most OG park ever? wtf?
 
they seriously don't realize that nobody is riding it because only a few people like the current setup? Obvs if they changed it to be mor like last year, there would be much more people in there.

That being said, the massive gaper day crowd/trian through kings is in order. Long live the King!['s Crown]

mad days on my touring setup...cool thing is when you tour you get to pick out what you want to ride..you don't have to wait on lazy people or a shitty park crew to change things for you
 
fucking really? i try to keep my mouth shut about complaining about the park and shit because im from the east and to me its all real fun. but for you to say that to the core of kids who ride your fucking parks every single day is bullshit.

no one complains about breck or keys jumps because theyre pretty close to perfect. everyones just offering opinions and criticism on your parks. if you cant take the criticism for parks that are not up to par to what they should be, then how about build the parks nicer, so everyone stop complaining?
 
They took for ever to build a highly anticipated park, and what they finally gave us is so shitty even the most motivated park skiers at pc can't stand skiing it and spend most of their time in pick. It's been a ghost town for weeks and they aren't doing shit about it except talking about just throwing in the towel and closing it early. Everything they built last year was on point so I don't see what's stopping them from rebuilding kings into a sick park right now.
 
No, we don't. We ask for something simple, what we had last year, which granted wasn't the best of the best but it is 100 times cooler than it is now. The park has literally gone untouched (other than some VERY minor changed) since they opened it after the FIS slope, pick has barely changed either, what is the park crew doing?

Is PC just not giving them cat time or something? There has to be a reasonable answer to why they haven't changed kings at all. Last year was really sick, but this year has been a fraction of last year, I don't get it.
 
You obviously don't know much about parks around the country then. Sure, it looks nice and their features might be in "good shape" but that doesn't always mean they're good. From your posts this year, you don't seem like much of a park skier, which is completely fine, but i feel like you don't understand how bad PC has been this year. The fact that its comparable to canyons is straight embarrassing for PC. They've been claiming best park in the USA for years since they won it ONCE in 2006 and PCs park was fucking EPIC back then, pic was roughly the same level you could say but there was jonseys, which was never as good as it was in 2008, but KINGS my god, they had huge jumps, huge jibs and lots of them.

PC hasn't build a kings park comparable to 04-06 era since. Sure, they've had some management changes and shit, but even last year with coopers first year was pretty sick, they had tons of sick features, like i said before that were about 100 times better than this year. I feel like they have put absolutely no effort into kings and minimal effort into pic.

I dunno, i feel like PC doesn't care this year. Like i said, there has to be some kind of explanation, no cat time or cut on budgets or less workers. I dunno what it is but me and the rest of the local park skiers at PC would really like an explanation.
 
Go Evan. I really would like to know if there is a legitimate reason, but until then we are all going to keep blindly complaining about PCMR complete lack of effort put into the parks this year.
 
i skied kings yesterday bc they actually put up some fun rails in. but where the hell is the s rail?? and im sick of hitting flat boxes in pic. i know pc has so many sick features and i havent seen half of them this year. ps we want jonseys(sp?) back!
 
they cut it in half. take a gander at the c rail in the rail park at the bottom of pick, i bet it will look mighty familiar...
