as if the 5,000 snowboarders that now ride park city have any etiquitte either.they were litterally sitting on boxes today and standing on nuckles not even close to the edges.
plus its not very stable in the ground--whenever someone qould sit on it, it would start tipping a little. i would definitely hit it more if people werent always sitting there.
Also saw some kid hike up to sit on the flat of the flat-down. needless to say, a few people bombing in to make the gap were quite peeved.
yeah that box is super fun but almost always closed for some fuck to take a nap on. side note. park crew needs to set up features that can be hit with less speed. building a bigger drop in to step up is not the solution either. and why would you put the down tube before an up rail. i feel like the flow would be much better if they had those to features switched.
All I care about is this shitty rainy ass weather. Its gonna suck to compete at that comp friday at the canyons. Not stoked at all if its gonna be like this all week.
We can only hope it gets a little soft in the day and groomed over and will be nice again. Positive thoughts are the only way through this weather right now, so weak.
Yeah dude i've seen it. Where the fuck did all the dumb ass snowboarders come from this year? go back to brighton! park etiquette at PC has definitely gone down this year. If some one is down on the landing fucking wait! Another thing is the landings on the larger jumps get the hell beat out of the by snowboarders side slipping them! i know 20 percent of the boarders are actually decent riders but all off a sudden i almost see no talent up there anymore. what happened?
A couple times in the beginning of the season. I was refferring to last years but from what I hear about this year, They actually stepped their game up and did away with some of the whole skatepark no lips onto rails bullshit.
exactly.. i had real trouble early season with the no lips thing but now they have definately stepped up their game. their park is actually pretty good right now and coupling that with their natural terrain makes brighton pretty nasty
hit the new line tonight (must have opened in the afternoon), and the jibs are soooo jammin' its awesome. I couldnt get speed to hit any of the jumps, but yeah, the lip on the last is way too short (what one of my friends who hit it said) and poppy for the size of the gap. Looking forward to a clear day so i can really hit all the new stuff
i didnt like them in the morning but then after i started to get used to them and the sun came out i like them a lot. second ones fun if you dont boost it all the way to the bottom third is super fun.
Call me crazy but I heard that pick will be closed tomorrow? Anyone wanna confirm if this is true or not? I've been shredding at the canyons for the past 2 days and I am eager to shred Pick.
I had a ton of fun on the jumps today. The second is super flat, but the other two are great.
Pick will be closed tomorrow for a snowboard contest - or at least that was the word in the park today. The other lines will be open, but new pick line will not be according to several snowboards preparing for this comp.
nice pc. tell people to go to CO lol the fuck do i look like bill gates? if i could i would but i have no money. on the other hand park city has money and they should use that money to build monster a private park on jonesys after the rest of the parks are built. there's no need to close off kings to the public when you can build your private features on another run that isn't being used for park anymore.
I think everyone should either A. buy their own resort, name it Kings Crown, and open it, or B. Stop crying and enjoy what you have, a great park with a shit ton of features.
i think all the complaining about everything right now is due to the overall frustration of not having kings open. it's not that the park isn't sick, it's that it could be SO MUCH better
I guess my experience is a little unique being my first year with a pass to PC, my overall joy of riding a world class mountain makes it hard to complain about anything.
Wow. Parking was a fucking shit show today. The main lot was full by 9am. PC better fucking not be letting those sundance fucks park there so that they can walk to downtown to watch their movies. It totally fucks us skiers and snowboarders over.
I do but It seemed much worse than it was last year. We found a small ass spot in the waaaaay back behind valet for 20 bones. Still a lot to park. And there was a broken down bus or some shit blocking one of the row isles in the main lot.
