King's Crown Jumps?

So king's is open for the last week of the PC season and every one is psyched. Does any one know the dimensions of the step over and the huge step down at the bottom? I hit the step over and i love it. i'm just tryin to figure if the step down is out of my league or not. i've heard the gap is 90+ ft. does anyone one know for sure?

I really don't think it's 90... It is easily 70, maybe 80. the step up is around a 45 gap with the knuckle maybe 5-10 feet above the lip. Casing on this one is no fun since there is no deck, just a really sharp knuckle, so if you case, it will be an uphill landing.

dude the step over gap is not 45 feet, maybe 30ft. the step down is prob 70ft and its flatish.

Can we pretend it is 45 feet? Sounds gnarlier than 30.

Mostly because I fucking destroyed myself on it.

i haven't seen the jump, but i'll chime in with this. it's really easy to over-judge heights and distances. i always find this is a good reference. imagine jumping off of a standard highway overpass. seems like a decant gap right? that's only 15(ish) feet. so use that as a reference and you'll usually realize that you've been saying the cliffs/jumps you've hit are bigger than they really are. so does that "70 footer" look like it's the distance equal to almost 5 highway over passes stacked straight up?? if i know anything about PC's jumps it probably is in this case, but just in general, it's a good rule of thumb.

It's way different than a vertical highway pass. A basketball goal also looks tall (10 feet), but when you slide a 10 foot flat bar rail it's literally nothing. A 30 foot rail is pretty easy to slide across, and from the side doesn't look that long. When you put a tape measure up to it, it doesn't lie.

you're right for sure, but i'm just saying for a general reference. it works. next time you'e standing on the deck of a jump and you're thinking that's gotta be 50-55 feet think of the higway overpass reference and you'll probably say, alright, maybe that's more like 40 feet. just my opinion. works for me.

Well they had what park city called last year, a seventy footer. i know what that was like. they also had a 45 and a 55. i just go off what those looked/felt like.

king's crown jumps blew dick this year. i hope park city hires a new builder, cooper just flat out blows and obviously doesn't care enough to re-pop the jumps every now and then. i mean he did it at the end but it took him long enough. breck's crew makes sure their jumps are perfect every day, and if park city wants to market on that level they are going to have to keep a product that will keep up. I would almost be down to dig shit at night and build features for PC because I know that I (even having no official digging experience) can do a better job than the noobs that were hired this year. I like to ride dank features and if I had control over it I would make them way sicker than the horseshit they pulled this year.
