Kinda A cool idea for park

I was thinking today that they should really put halfpipes in the jump part of the park. Ussally i see a halfpipe section and a park section. It would be dope if they incorporated halfpine into booter lines. Like have a smaller table only about 20 feet before the halfpipe, then u could bust a trick and use your speed to pump the walls of the pipe then at the end of the pipe have a big speed roller for some bigger sized kickers. I dont like the idea that at most mountains u ride the chair and have to either rip park or pipe. I think that people would be more rounded ridders to if they were hitting halfpipe and kickers and rails all in the same lines. It would probley take alot of designing to be able to get flow with it but its somthing for park designers to think about.

 
most mountains wouldnt have enough room for that.

Good idea but 2 problems.

1) People hitting the pipe would also have to hit the booter, and if people are dropping into only the pipe you could get some bad traffic or s.

2) People hiking the pipe would also have to hike the jump. I wouldn't mind but some people would for sure.

at timber line.. during the winter the pipe is right above the first jump so you end up at teh in run of th first hit.. there the small jumps though....

it would be sick if the had quarter pipes set up in the middle like on the side, it would be ill. like one on the left and one on the right, in between a couple booters. it would get tricky with speed though.

Yah, I often thought what it would be like to have some quarter pipes as transfers, or a few sections of halfpipe about 30-40 feets long, just for one or two hits.

that sounds dope, i would love to have some short hop section in teh middle of my park , or even a few qp hits along the way..but for me at mtn. creek there is absolutely no room, and im sure its teh same for many mtns

there's a lot of constraints for mountains with park and pipe placement. For some, it's just lack of terrain/vert, so they're limited with where they can put them. For others, they might not want to make a park run that's like top to bottom, because it'll piss off regular skiers that a whole trail is park. Also, a lot of times they purposely put pipes near the bottom of the mountain so that it's easy to see for spectators, and when they have comps, people dont have to walk up the mountain to watch.

I think a lot of parks would be better if the park managers had the budget/support/terrain they wanted.

 
We used to have that... it was in the middle of our park. It worked good.. xcept you had to skip the rails which were located to the side.

if any of you saw The High Life, Candide's segment starts out at some comp in France (?), where there are basically two hips side by side, with really vert landings, so that you air the hip and land on one wall of the half pipe, and you can then hit the 'landing' of the identical hip right next to it as the other wall of the half pipe (a bit complex sounding, but it's really not). It would be sick to make a table gap with a half pipe between the tables! that would rock my world

last year we had a pipe but this year its just a park but its a pretty ok park but im glad they got rid of the pipe cuz it wasnt so good

yo my mtn. has the park on one side of the mountain and the pipe with some 'cliffs' ( they try to have boulder jumps dusnt work cuz they get iced over) is on a completely distant part..

no snow...

no girls...

no future..

snowfall dictates the days activities if the snowfalls then do it another day..
 
hood sort of did that this year. they had their supper pipe under their park so you could hit jumps or rails then pipe but that would be cool to have some more jumps after

well our park had kinda that. you couldnt hit any of the nice jumps sept the money booter or a hip because the pipe was on the right side of the park and the jumps were on the left. you could hit 90 percent of the jibs after you hit up the pipe though

 
I think we should put a a fire pit and spikes in a park. it would be so super wickedly sick bra! check out the parks in amped 2. now those are some parks my man.

that would be a shitload of maintenance though wouldn't it? plus it would take a lot of blowing snow in the same area and a shitload of shaping

Alpine put their pipe mixed in with their tables and stuff this year it was pretty tight. But because of this..they ended up shortening it a lot more..so thats one downfall of doing that.
