Kind of a callout to some pros

I DONT WEAR A HELMET CUZ IT MAKES ME LOOK LIKE A COOL SKIER KID K???? LIKE JEEZ HELMETS ARE SOO UNCOOL. ONLLY NERDS WEAR THEM. jks but yea its all personal preference some people like em and others dont. but me, i dont wear it again because it makes me look just so cool. haha

I hate when people get pissed off at someone for not wearing a helmet. It's their decision to do whatever the fuck they want, you don't have to get pissed at them.

see this is why your a douchebag im not apologizing because i give a fuck what you think of me. im apologizing for some of my ignorant posts and stupid callouts.
i dont give a shit what you think of me. In my actual life you don't exist Jwilliams. your just some e-fag. i still send my apologies to casual but you sir are just a faggot

and btw the point of my apology was admitting that i was being a little bitch. thats why i apologized. obviously you don't understand that and i quite frankly could give a shit

How is this thread stupid? This is a good thread and the pros should think about this. Helmets arent uncomfortable if you find a good fitting one and can actually keep you way more warm than a hat... also they dont look dumb, well at least most dont. look at poc or bern, or sweet

+k for your use of the term "e-fag"...for some reason, the inclusion of the hyphen was crucial to me finding thins funny.
As for our little "tiff", it's all good as far as I'm concerned, I just thought you were being overly sensitive. No hard feelings on this end.

Shaun white always wears his helmet! Sometimes he doesnt even remember he has it on. At lunch everyone's like shaun! why's your helment still on?!!?

Or at least thats what the "smart style" video says..

thanks and me and Jwilliams settled it over PM's so looks like this thread is at peace again haha

nvm i already had you at 10/10 haha so i guess you must of already done something good earlier

idk about everyone whose saying its their choice to it, i like what hes getting at

its true, people should start to learn after whats happened over the past few years

and i guess it is always their choice, but they should be smart about it imo

good idea though man

thanks dude.
i just wanna make it clear that im not telling the pros to wear a helmet or getting on their case.
i mostly made this thread just hoping to have a good discussion and make my life interesting. which it did, but not really about helmets hahaha.
but i would hate to see anymore pros go. especially for something like not wearing a helmet

z-rob, do you wear a helmet when you bounce on a trampoline?
Just wondering if your thoughts on safety are consistent or not.

the kid has a bit of a point, i would be terribly sad if we lost some of our amazing pros (and ams!) .. but they have the decision to wear whatever they like. as long as they (pros) all stay alive, im good.

no i dont but a helmet wouldnt do anything on a trampoline unless i hit my head on the poles that hold the net up

for me personally, and all rest of thread aside, wearing a helmet just makes sense for winter sports. in the summer skateboarding and riding my bike around the main evil with helmets is that i'm already so damn hot that a helmet sucks. skiing in the cold you have to wear something on your head anyway to keep it warm. why not have a hard protective shell on that piece of warming headwear?

why dont pro skaters wear helmets? maybe because there just good and out there to have fun and dont give a shit about whether some little kid with a dress and a hoodie on are on ns trying to figure out what clothes to have there mom buy them and what kind of helmet the pros have, its just a lot more comfy without them

it won't protect you from neck or spinal injuries, and has been proven to sometimes make them more likely in extreme circumstances but it will definitely help huge with concussions and skull injuries. The key thing is that those injuries are much more likely than a broken neck. Good Idea,

As for back country skiers. The leading cause of death in BC skiers is trauma. A helmet is a great way to minimize chances of trauma.

ahhaha i read that over a couple times before i realized you just spelt it wrong. i was like wtf weather people?

Statistically, trampolines cause way more traumatic head injury than skiing. Also, just like skiing, many doctors recommend that you wear a helmet while trampolining.
So, you not wearing one on the tramp is pretty damn similar to people who go skiing without one.
Now I would be willing to bet that there aren't any pros out there who feel the need to call you out for taking a certain type of risk, so why do you feel the need to call them out when they take a certain type of risk?

I like them. They look dope. But some days, especially spring, they are just really not necessary. It is true that you can fall on tha bunny slope an die without one (that famous chick in KBec) but somedays i jsut don't feel like it. Park it's just an obvious plus, duh.

I look like a thug with a helmet i mean im just that beutiful some people cant work like me so they have to where a hat. I respect that.

facepalm.
ive already explain numerous times im not telling/asking/wanting them to wear their helmets. its not my life. im just saying it would suck to lose yet another pro skier. thats all.
read prior posts before making a post such as yours

Facepalm indeed - Yeah right buddy. Your thread titled "kind of a callout to some pros" and statements like "why don't you wear your helmets" and "remember you guys are role models" has absolutely nothing to do with you telling/asking/wanting them to wear a helmet.

read my other posts. i do say numerous times that i misused the word callout. and i didnt say remember you guys are role models. i said that they ARE role models.

dude your sounding like a worried mother or something, let people make decisions on their own. worry about yourself
